Also, I noticed when poking around in FORSCAN recently (disabling the running lights when just climate control is on and parked) that my 12V battery DCDC charge setting is up to 90%...if I remember it used to be lower, (like 80% a couple years ago?). I may have tweaked that myself previously, or...
Yeah, does the $215 include installation? Cause the Ford parts site says it's $130 with a $18 core charge (if ordered for delivery through my N. AL dealer's parts counter it's $143 (or 28,600 FP points).
$215 seems a bit steep unless that includes the cost of installation.
I did. From a '21 model. It is motorized, and throws zero DTCs with all functionality proper and correct. Part# LX6P-7P155-LE. It may have not made the list yet. Oh, and I do use Auto-Hold and it works fine.
Somebody should start a poll on this issue. As in which model years are more affected by bad battery cells than others. I suspect the issues started with late build '22 models...but I don't have any data to back that up.
Personally, I don't see a reason to ever remove the center stack on a 15.5" version of the Sync screen.
Those tabs up under the front were pretty easy to lift up to get them out of the holes and slide the trim panel back. As long as you're standing outside the truck and leaning in to do the...
Yeah, once you've done it ...you realize it would only take you about 20 minutes tops to do it again if you had to. It's not that hard. Just don't follow the workshop manual about removing the entire center stack and you'll be fine ?
Unbelievable the amount of stuff they want you to...
FDRS 45.5.2 showed up this morning. Very minor update, and I have no idea what they fixed or improved, since there are no notes to go with it. (I just noticed it this morning but apparently it came out on the 16th?)
VCM 2 and Mongoose speeds are comparable. For those who are wondering....
VCM 3 is a lot faster. A little under an hour for an IPMA that takes the Mongoose 2.5hrs by comparison.
If I had to guess...I'd bet they are scanning installed part numbers to see who needs a new one. If yours was already replaced with the newer part, then you wouldn't get another one.
Don't feel bad at all....that's how I ended up enabling BlueCruise on my 2021 Mach-E back in March of '22.
The original leaders in getting BlueCruise to function was the F-150 forum guys. Months before the Mach-E forum. I had both a '21 F-150 Powerboost and a '21 Mach-E and I was getting...
The bulletin mentions if you already had the shifter changed under "TSB 25-2276– Various GSM concerns." then you wouldn't be seeing this CSP for your VIN.
When I went to replace mine (with the rotary) I left it connected electrically but it had been unbolted at that point and I was holding it in my hand. I decided that to better prepare it to be put in a box I'd stow it before disconnecting the plug. So I watched as it ratcheted it's way from Park...
On 2024-2025 F-150 Lightnings produced up to mid-late October 2024, (overlapping production for MY 24 and 25 which is a little odd?).
On all of the affected vehicles, the GSM may experience a malfunction and the floor console GSM shifter may be unable to stow or un-stow when the gear shift...
Anytime you go from one major revision to another one, you really need to remove the existing user data to keep the new version from coughing up hairballs using your previous session data etc.
That might have been what caused the problem, but there's no way to tell really. What I can suggest...
But does it throw DTCs? I thought somebody said that the Mach-E version threw DTCs all the time. That's why I went with the Bronco Sport version (same as Escape).
