I had this problem with my Mach-e, OTA stopped working at around 70% 12volt capacity, so I just kept a 12volt charger (15amps, less didn't work) until an OTA finally fixed the 12volt battery charging. You can check your 12volt charge capacity with your Ford account.
Looks like arcing from moisture, when you get a new one mount it inside or a least keep that plug end pointed down. When the unit heats then cools it's probably drawing in moisture.
I have 11,000 miles on my lightning and 20,000 miles on my last mach-e (totaled)and 250 miles on my new mach-e. I haven't had any problems with my EVs, the ride is smooth and the acceleration is something you will never experience in a ice vehicle. I've had my EVSE set up in my garage since...
When you setup the PAAK you will be prompted to enter a door code of your choosing and a start passcode of your choosing. You should also have a factory door code card that came with your manual. My problem is that I don't use the codes very often and forget what they are.
I was really starting to trust the PAAK, now after a few glitches I find myself reaching for my key fob and turning off PAAK. To bad it was really good for a few months, definitely not worth getting stranded.
I have the Lectron 40 amp EVSE and two weather covers. The j1772 sticks in the socket when hot and the covers had magnets in them(useless on aluminum). I had to remove the magnets because they interfered with my ChargePoint j1772 that has a magnetic switch. I would not buy a Lectron product again.
Yes, my walk away switch is gone also, what I really miss is the global windows control from the PAAK. I lost that early on though. The wonder's of OTA updates, like I wonder who decides what is added or taken away without our input.
The locking modes are selectable on the sync screen. I have mine set to only unlock the driver's door when entering and to lock with the walk away locking mode. Mine is a Lariat so those options may not be available on all models.
Thieves don't care, a couple of twists on the safety chains and who needs a hitch! Gone in seconds. I like the idea of chaining the wheels but also wrap those safety chains around the trailer tongue and lock them. The more you do, the longer it will take to steal. Here's a good site for trailer...
I haven’t towed for awhile, but it has to do with unplugging while the vehicle is on or off. So try both unplug while it’s on or unplug while it’s off .
I also have a Mach E, it's going in next week for recall work. 1.The dealer I bought it from won't do any work on it "we don't work on them unless there's a check engine light!" 2. Did the panoramic roof reseal " broke my A pillar covers, broke my rear dash camera, left the dash camera wires...
Take it to a dealership, there is a customer satisfaction program (CSP) for my 22', High voltage battery module replacement andor battery energy control module becm software update Campaign# 23B57. The service department told me that they don't do the CSP work until the customer has a problem...
This purchase was in January. All the wire is kept behind locked cages, to buy it, a store associate gets it from the cage then carries it to the cash register, you pay for it, then it is given to you. You can also buy a cut length from a spool and it's even more expensive per foot! Here's a...
I actually have two, a hardwired ChargePoint at 48 amps and the 14-50 receptacle for the Ford mobile charger. I put the big Ford charge station pro on the shelf, it's more power than I needed.
