Unfortunate that the Madison charge stations were that way; I've used those twice, but worked well both times.
Living in rural Wisconsin, I am paying $0.08 per kwh to charge my Lariat ER at home, and loving that. But even better is free charging at work!
I have the Hand's Free Blue Cruise...
Maybe it's just me, but I've never heard anyone rural buying a truck saying that they want a truck that can only go 100 miles or less in the winter; People buy trucks that they can use 100% of the time, not 90%.
I think Ford should come out with an electric Ranger and an electric Maverick...
I let mine run down as far as I can to just make it I to work. Then I charge for free to 95% or so while I work. Wash rinse repeat!
if I need to charge for a trip at home, then I charge to 100%
on the road, I only charge as much as I need to to get to next free charger, and then to 95%.
is...
I wouldn’t sweat the Tundra. In another couple years, charging will be way better with everyone using NACS plugs in new trucks w much better range. Tesla Superchargers will be open to all, and a lot more chargers out there. And your Tundra will have great resale value, because Toyota build...
I have 18k on my Lightning with the stock Hankook’s on. They did really well new last winter here in Wisconsin driving across the state. But with another year of driving, they are slippery in rain and even light snow, with wear having eliminated the siping mostly.
So I watched lots of YouTube...
My dealer thought it was my GoFast Camper that causes this. With mine is from about 44-49 mph, then it's fine. Doesn't do it when slowing down, just when speeding up. After seeing others talk about tires here, I think I will ask them to check tire balance/alignment the next time it's in.
Ford: “What is this new 80286 processor you refer to?” ????
Seriously though, Ford is doing way more OTA’s than Subaru or Ram, or pre-EV Ford’s. It’s not perfect, but is lightyears ahead of what I expected, based on older Fords and the other brands.
I had that happen on a trip, too. Try going into charging app on the truck screen, and “ reset your driving range “. Then it it will be right again. THEN drive without using Ford Navigation app, and let it learn how you are driving:; I find it is pretty accurate estimator for speeds around...
Left one thing out - the day after the Lightning launched, they laid off something like a hundred software engineers. So the guy or two that are left, is always way behind the stack of demands in their inbasket. How much you want to bet that Tesla and Rivian and Arcimoto snapped those software...
It took me about a dozen tries to get it to connect. I actually unplugged the wifi repeater about 4 feet away, left my kitchen door open, and after a few more tries, it connected. Annoying, but if it stays connected, is bearable. If has to be done a lot, then I'll sell it on e-Bay and get a...
The only problem with topping off from someones 240 garage outlet, is that could fry their outlet - literally, especially if you pull 40 or more amps from it. Maybe an hour would be ok, but serious charging, like overnight, could melt/short their fusebox or same to outlet, especially the...
Also won't work for people who camp in the back of their truck, such as my GoFast Camper. When I asked bed camper manufacturers, none planned to build for Cybertrucks, due to geometry and low #'s just wouldn't make it worth it. The origami camper that has been designed for it would be highly...
