Thanks for the reply.
That tells me I should be good with a 100A breaker to my barn, which is fed off my 200A main house panel.
I need to figure this all out before the order bank opens. I think I’m very close to the front of the line. Work is even installing a charger for me in 2022. I can’t...
I suspect highly Ford is underestimating range. They know the competition’s ranges, give or take. This is no different than the diesel power wars. While 230 miles is good for Granny Girdlegate, some want more. To me, 70 miles with an extended, is peanuts, but I need all I can get for my...
Thinking about my Lightning purchase, I’m already reaching out to ComEd for service upgrade options. I think in Illinois, the state will pay for 50% of the costs for an electrical upgrade for a charging station for a BEV. But, I already have a 60A breaker feeding a 100A panel in my poke barn...
So, tax liability means nothing in relation to the amount withheld from our checks, correct? So, if you are taxed $15,000 by Uncle Sam, but are getting no refund and owe nothing because your withholdings cover your taxes, you WOULD get $7,500 as a “refund” due to the tax credit… correct?
So, I’m considering that with the mileage I drive monthly, snd gaining a $7,500 tax credit in 2023 for my 2022 Lightning purchased in 2022, I could save about $16,000 in two years.
What I can’t seem to find is, how this tax credit works. Is the credit limited to a specific TOTAL number of BEV’s...
It’s the same bed. Ford says it can use the same accessories as the ICE counterpart. Get the drop in liner if you like everything sliding all around and wearing the paint off the bed, or spray-in from Line-X if you want better quality than the Ford spray-in, or any bed mats from rubber, to Bed...
I recall watching a Lightning video that showed upon approach to the vehicle, the grille came alive with a bright blue dot traveling along a bar across the grille and over the top half of the blue oval. Now I can’t find it.
Is this a marketing gimmick, or will this really be an Easter egg on...
Since you are in the electric Lightning forum, I’ll assume you are asking for the Lightning.
Tow mirrors on the ICE F-150 are an option. They do NOT come with any tow package.
I have seen nothing regarding offering on the Lightning, and because they are gearing this truck for MPG’s, I’ll bet...
When I was surveyed by Ford several months ago, the survey showed $7000 for the extended range battery. I’m hoping that is more realistic, but power boards were shown at just under $400, and the Max Trailer Tow package at $895. That has me thinking the survey was a bit skewed.
Thanks, Guys! This helps a lot. I looked at the map links, and now I just need to get comfortable with adding time on my longer trips if I use the truck for vacation travel. One run to south Missouri adds almost 3 hours of charging. That almost makes it a two-day trip. Not sure I’m ready...
I’m trying to ease my range anxiety before I get prompted to configure my Lightning order. Yes, premature, I know. But, in my travels, I’m using the Ford Pass app to see where stations are that I could use if needed. While I plan to be fully charged before I leave in the morning, I just want...
Great information! Thank you all. As expected, my electricity costs to charge at home should be about $100 per month. That’s less than 1/5 of my monthly fuel bill. I understand winter is worse, other variables exist, but for my daily driver for a few years while I decide on a weekend warrior...
I’m having trouble relating electric to ICE MPG. It looks like from the miles I log a year, the Lightning could really be a savings for me in fuel costs, but I’m not certain what my electric will cost to charge the Lightning.
I’ll only consider the extended range, and talking to two friends who...
