So little power lost is nice, but what does that kind of cold for so long do to the battery? I searched the Ford manual and didn't see anything negative or about do not leave for so cold for so long, and even over 30 days they suggest to disconnect the LV battery.
I don't know how the...
Let's just say it is pretty dang cool to see your house powered by your truck.
I got hooked up today. Sitting in a dark garage, hit the Pro Power button and lights immediately came on. Had some fun testing different scenarios, but I was easily able to turn on every light in the house and...
I've read through many threads and approaches to this. I've seen a couple of videos early on with how much can be powered from the truck, but the question is, can you or should you expect 30 amp continuous use from the truck? Its rated at 30, we use 30 amp rated cables, but should we only...
There is no button inside the frunk to close it, only the one under the grill which you also use to open it. if open, press it and it will close. The only button truly inside is the Emergency Open button.
I think we need testers to try and confirm that to know. Tesla is good with their updates, so truly I'm going to say if they haven't updated their site to show it is open to CCS adapters and added it to the maps, likely not.
Tomorrow is test day. 40' 30 amp cord, dog bone from 30 amp to male 14-50, going to plug into my 14-50 outlet that I used to use with a Tesla mobile charger.
I know - this way is dangerous. This is a test. I'll shut the house main off first. Plug the cable in to the wall, then the...
You are the lucky one, similar to us with earlier trucks that have received regular updates. So many throughout '23 have waited months and months. You hit it at the right time, just as the updates have started rolling for the '23's. You should be caught up in a few weeks.
Would tend to agree. Seems they are predicting the small towns to double in size. The only way I'd consider it in an EV would be with a Tesla adapter. We have a ton of Tesla Superchargers around Dallas now, but South onto SAT is more thin. I'd make sure to travel a day or two ahead of...
Quite certain it is one and the same. Just like a few weeks ago the newer trucks (from the last 8 to 10 months) started getting 4.2.2.1, etc. All of these releases from the last year or so are just getting caught up on these newer trucks. They will likely roll through everything that...
Y''all just need to follow that random navigation and have an outing, find somewhere new !! I haven't had that one, but I have had the headlight switch a few times. It just likes to keep dinging. Turn it off then back to auto.
V3 superchargers have a liquid cooled cable. It is a smaller diameter than the v2 Superchargers. I know that may be hard to tell the difference if you haven't used them, but that is one of the physical ways to know.
I hope that PG&E has enough of these distributed to show their worth. It just came to light yesterday that the big TX fire burning for the last week or two was likely started from a downed wire. I can see more power companies taking the stance of shutting off some power in a bad storm or high...
I've noted this a year or so back and wished it would come - a nice added layer of protection. However you know if you have a Tesla that when you sit you are presented with the PIN screen immediately - you never wait, you are ready to go. Have you ever thought about this with the Ford start...
Keep us updated if you make headway. The similar product, Generlink (which truly looks like it will not work with the bonded neutral) is not embraced by Oncor (North Texas transmission and distribution only - they own the meters) at all. Other electrical distributors in the area do allow...
To be honest, I've not even tried BC since. On I-35 from Dallas to OKC it just disengages too many times, with no audible warning, I won't use it. A few places around Dallas it is available, but I rarely get out on those roads either. I'll give it a shot if I have a chance in the next few...
Not sure I've been offered this release yet. This and the Superchargers were both released last week on the same day. I was away and the truck was parked at the Airport. When I made it back home I triggered the Supercharger release manually and it installed Friday night. I've never seen...
That area only holds the last 6 or so apps. They move the right as you open new apps. If you connect CarPlay and then open another app, it should be there and move to the right as you open additional apps.
No real reason to beat around the bush, they are nothing short of lying straight to your face. Way too many of us have had it done via mobile service and my technician wasn't even at my house 30 minutes, much less working on the truck that much time. It was 10 minutes tops.
