I was going to say this. Having driving many EVs as rentals and an owner. I am most happy with Ford and Tesla. Rivian was great, but the interior was a bit tight in the shoulders for me as I am a larger human than most. Also, as a Tesla owner, you will never want for software updates. they...
My new favorite on this screen is the Action Required for a service update...no option to see what it is, but we will let you book a visit...I also have the Action Recommended for Tires I think...but, my tires are inflated to the recommended levels and only have 6k miles on them...
I will say...
never going back to ICE again either. I have been on the bandwagon for many years. Have owned Lightning, Model Y, Model S and Rivian R1S. Have driven Mach-E, Ionic 5, EV 6, Mercedes EQS, Silverado EV, and several more. The lightning is far better than the Cheaprolet Silverado EV. It handles...
In my platinum, i get 3 different sounds at varying times when starting. I usually get a startup tone that sounds distinctly different than the high pitched do-da-do, then, sometimes I get a completely different sound like a wha-paaa sound like a wind up and a slap on a snare drum.
After the...
Looking for suggestions around the Houston Area for Lightning Service. Every time I take my truck to Tomball Ford, they keep the truck for days, nothing really gets fixed and they act like I am an inconvenience.
Quick Background. Had a CSP (Which, my service rep did not know what I was...
so, I have been an owner since 07/22. I am ok being the tester and early adopter, but what I am concerned with is when my truck goes out of warranty, how will these update issues get resolved? I do not want to pay the dealer to fix failed updates.
So, Interesting on that link. The link I was provided by the Early Access Program to try it out and feel free to talk about it. I get the same message for my 2022 Lightning Platinum that my truck is not capable. But, when trying your link, I get "its been 90 days since your last update," which...
I figured as much. I had this happen 1-2 times prior to getting all of my modules updated, now it happens >50% of the time. I am trying to coorelate if I hear the popping sound from the interior or not when this happens. Setting up time for my dealer after Thanksgiving. Its always easier to...
has anyone else had issues with the tone on the truck changing everytime you get in? Meaning, one time if feels like a 1990s truck, others it sounds like a modern warning sound. It changes for parking sensors, startup tone, etc.
A Better Route Planning will get you to the right charger. If you have a Tesla Adapter, the truck still will not navigate you there. Ford's navigation is terrible from my experience and usually late picking up new chargers.
This, but again the time and the loudness of the beep is unnecessary. I dont have any warning alerts on automated trunks...just on the frunk of the ford...
I know I had to explicitely ask them to update all of them as I had heard they do not. I really think it is dealer specific as with most things with the truck.
Mine now works as expected. It is not substantial when interior temperature is near set temperature, but in Texas when it was 100+ outside and hotter in the car, my high was blowing less than the mid and about the same as low. It now is much better after module updates.
My dealer ended up updating all of my modules as they were behind on updates. I think this included an update to the A/C system.
I now have the popping sound from the bass in the car that needs something addressed, so I have time setup after Thanksgiving.
I have a big problem with the connected services being put in a priority location on the device. This is more for an upsell on Ford's side. I have no issue with it in general, but do not make it prominant where the other functions are pushed below the fold on the page.
I have the first gen prior to Typhoon as well, but received the email yesterday. I was a bit confused if I can get the new adapter. Would prefer the Typhoon as my first gen is a bit finicky...
I would settle to be able to route to V3/V4 supercharger using onboard navigation 9 months after gaining access. Expecting Ford to write code to bridge a protocol gap is likely a 2030 target that will never be met.
