    We installed an 18kw solar array on our house that produces more electric than we use over the course of a year. Since 95% of my charging is at home, electrons cost me zero almost all of the time. Yeah, the solar wasn't cheap but it should pay for itself in less than 7 years.

    A completely different data point here. My wife and I had a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and a 2021 Tesla Model Y. We just bought a new XLT ER Lightning and sold the Model Y.
