What you do know is it wasn't the truck as the truck charged fine on another charger at the same site.
It sounds likely that it was a problem with the charger failing to communicate with the truck. Why? It could be something preventing...
And you would think that two and a half years after the announcement would be long enough for all Lightnings to have Tesla Superchargers in their navigation. But nooooo.
Agreed Rob but I have run into the issue a few times where there's a hiccup in the charger activation sequence or a charger stops and restarts. In those cases, a charge session I expected to get the discount went on Plug & Charge and didn't get the discount.

Unfortunately that only provides half of it. I have WAL but the truck honks every time and I don't have the toggle to disable the honk. That's a different update.
That's fine if your trip only involves a single charging stop. That doesn't provide for all the charging along a route. ABRP is the next best solution but isn't nearly as good as the Ford Nav if you are pulling a trailer.

If you don't need the slightly longer range of the Lariat ER, I'd get a Platinum. While the cost differential isn't justifiable to me when buying new, the differential shrinks when buying used.
