Although there is some regeneration gaing on duting the way back down the hill it is never complete.
Moreover, I've been in situations where going up a long mountain range impacted the traction battery so significantly that I needed to recharge on the way up before I could go back down...
I purchased a 2023 leftover XLT in July 2024. In November 2024 I decided to get the FCPS because of my TOU EV home circuit and the truck's enormous ER battery.
I checked with the Ford BEV Team and they verified the program for 2022 and 2023 ER trucks was still active (in Nov 2024). The dealer...
...from another thread on the subject (the GOM):
As a wise older engineer once told me: "Electricity is not a liquid. You can measure water or gasoline or diesel or kerosene or coal almost exactly, by volume and by weight. Stored electricity can only be measured by its potential to do work"...
Gotcha. That's a bit far unfortunately... although I happened to have been in Ohio, Michigan and Louisville Kentucky most of last week as it happens. I'm back in Virginia now.
This looks like pretty much the exact Lightning version I have. FYI - I am supremely satisfied with my 2023 XLT 312A with the PowerPro stuff built-in.
WHere are You? Your "me" block doesn't list Your location. Where is the truck? If it's near me, I'll check it out to maybe answer Your...
My post was about the heat (low infrared radiation) LEAVING the cabin.
My post did comnend the Ford design of the pano roof in adequately keeping the UV radiation from the sun, out. The lower infrared and the UV exist at different wavelength bands.
The Mach E pano roof keeps one mostly...
I don't see Your location in Your avatar box. Unless You live in southern Florida or Arizona or another mostly hot climate, I suggest You DO NOT get one with a pano roof.
This is especially important if You live in the Northern tier with cold Winters.
I learned this the hard way on my former...
I suggest You go back into FDRS and go to the Toolbox and run the "clear all DTCs" function. I'd include the checkbox for permanent DTCs. if You do this correctly, You'll see three clock-like "windows" completing a 360 degree routine while this function runs.
So I added the blue sensor box and cut out the aperture slits on my 2023 XLT. Now I'm running the wiring down to the BCM.
Can anyone here confirm that the two BCM connector plugs with the white locking levers in my attached picture are indeed Connectors C2280C (middle connector) and C2280E...
So I learned something surprising (to me) with use of the rotary Bronco Sport shifter in my Lightning.
I often use the interior dash frunk button to open the frunk before I get out, or to open it for someone else while I'm in the cab.
Well, with the rotary shifter I often just plain forget to...
Thanks for this.
I also went with the Bronco Sport rubberized rotary shifter, after my misadventure with the Mach E shifter.
I'm still planning to gently adapt the knurled blue aluminum shifter crown I bought from 5Spurs.com to fit the Bronco Sport shifter head.
Thanks. So from the F150 Gen14 post it looks like the leftmost male pin in my sensor picture (post #74 above) is the unused male pin.
I can guess the 12 Volt pin from that post as well... I think (the blue PosiTap to the rear window circuit).
I'll look again, harder to identify the ground...
