I seriously considered the Retrax but with our short truck beds, I didn't like the loss of room for the "spool" canister.
I went with Decked Drawers instead... gained a whole lot of really useful locking compartmentation for tools and camping gear, and a tonneau-like top bed surface with eight...
FYI I got a McGyvered adapter for such a use case from Amazon three years ago, for use at just such an older RV location. Actually used it twice between then and now.
This thread has caught my attention.
Two points to contribute:
1. I had the inner door panel off and on several times, for a different reason (power-folding mirror wiring). The mechanical linkage for the door latch system looks to me just like normal mechanical linkage on many car doors I've...
I do not think this is normal, based on my personal FDRS updates for the Mach E and the Lightning.
Sometimes they do hang. I faintly remember that member Mike G had posted a fix / workaround procedure for this either here or in the Mach E forum. However, it was so long ago that details escape...
I've noticed this on our previous EVs (Ford Mustang Mach E and on my Sonny Boy's used Audi E-tron). It seems that every dang car manufacturer insists on proprietary "brick end" connectors for their different plug whips  I mean... it's just wires, right?
So we now have standardized...
There's a setting for this on the truck's Sync screen: SETTINGS / VEHICLE / 30-MINUTE SHUTOFF. It's the top blue toggle on my Sync screen at that location.
The charger inside our trucks (and inside all North America market area EVs) senses the provided voltage. If the receptacle-provided voltage is at 120V, the car's (truck's) charger will automatically demand no more than 12 amps while charging, so as to not overdraw from a common NEMA 15-5...
I seem to remember that the Mongoose firmware can be flashed with upgraded more current RAM software... might be worth a look at the manufacturer's website. Not that I've ever done it on the Mongoose... I have done it with other dongle equipment.
Good Luck!
I just checked my online IRS account after getting the paper letter. It all checks out.
Thanks TaxManHog!
(BMW K-bikes always! BMW K-bikes forever!)
I found, on the Lightning and also on the Mach E, that setting these times in the vehicle's SYNC seems to stick better than thru the FordPass.
Also, I noticed that it's best to have the truck see the "home" charging position as the "default". This might, perhaps, help in Your situation...
I was worried a bit about eventual environmental impacts on the Ford CSP mounted out on my driveway, despite its factory weather-proofing... things can fail over time with constant exposure to water and temp swings and snow and ice.
To mitigate this, I found a 24-inch basement window well...
UPDATE on the use of the Hummer spare wheel cover during Winter's icy grip:
I busted a tire sidewall late last week on a high curb in the snowing icy January weather. No problem: I switched the busted wheel on the roadside with the full size full use spare wheel, threw the busted tire wheel...
