Yea, when he plugged into the grey plug, he sent 12+ and 12- through several connectors on the harness box meant for canbus traffic. he also sent ground to a few spots expecting 12+

You only need a VM for Forscan. Download UTM and track down a windows 10 installer disc on the webs.

The second port isn’t on the canbus. So no errors, but the box got Fried. Then when you plugged a fried canbus communicator into a port with canbus…. Errors galore. forscan runs fine in a VM, but FDRS will only run on native windows.

I think you shorted your comma harness box. There were a few MachE users who did the same thing. This is exactly why I made a Q4 specific video:

usually a cable that doesn’t meet spec will refuse to go on road, not give errors. but a known working cable from Amazon is a cheap and quick check. At least cheaper and quicker than a new C3X from Comma in Cali.
