My understanding is that there isn't currently a ul standard to test DCFC cables and adapters against. So no I would think they would not be ul listed. If you know of a ul standard that these can be tested against let us know.
I agree with you 100%. I would not buy it either, but I bet over next couple of months we see a lot more of these pop up and they will most likely get cheaper and cheaper. Not a good thing!
Buyer beware!!
I saw a listing for a 10-ft CCS-1 extension cable. It says it can be pre-orderd for for $599. I am just letting just letting people know they are starting to appear online. I have no other information on them.
You need a three pole transfer switch. There are many threads covering this on the site. Here is one of them. If you use the search you will find others
I actually use both inverters. I use the 7.2 kw for 240 volt items well pump, mini split, water heater, and use the 2.4. Kw for the 120 volt items, refrigerator , microwave, internet.
I bought my lightning to be a truck and work like a truck. I have forded 18" of water with no problem. Not worried about getting it wet or dirty. Where I live down an dirt road and across a stream it was wet and dirty the day I brought it home and its going to stay that way unless I move...
The height of the lighting is listed as 77.2 inches (6ft 5.2 inches). 6'6" would be to close for me. I would want at least a foot of clearance. as some parking structures have pipes and conduits hanging from the ceiling.
@Maxx just so you know I also got my pro about the same time as you and I havent seen the state of charge on the home screen yet either. Not sure if it a pro thing or a time of manufature thing or Ford just being lazy about up dating pros bought at the original MSRP. Other wise the truck is...
I can confirm that the Pro trim can be optioned with the 9.6 kw pro power onboard as that is what I have on my Pro.
Yes it is possible to run a 240 volt pump off of the 7.2 kw rear inverter. I have run my 240 volt well pump off mine while using the front 2.4 kw inverter to run other 120volt...
I have a J+ booster 2. It is UL listed and Swiss made. It is built like a tank and has interchangeable adapters. If you want to save some money the company sells demo units with a full warranty on eBay. I bought a demo unit and it works great and included everything a new one does at a...
I have a fused disconnect next to the heat pump. I am planing on installing the Marine Grade Transfer Switch (MGTS) between the main panel and the disconnect. This way I can either run off the main panel which is also from the enphase batteries or I can flip the switch and power it directly...
I looked into it from the stand point of recharging the enphase batteries. There is a protocol for charging the batteries from a remote generator but it is way more complicated than I was looking for. It entails disconnecting from the grid and isolating the batteries to charge them. Not...
I have had my pro for 9 month 4k miles and have never had a problem with it. I live in the country and have forded streams and driven on dirt roads with no issues. I have also taken it on road trips and never an issue.
Pulled UPS truck out of a sandy rut into neighbors drive way. Actually it is the second time this month. The big storm a month ago made all the washes really soft. The Lightning handled it with no problem. Ok, so its not a train. The Ford engineers get all the fun.
They are talking about sharing power with the grid during peak hours and charging when during off peak hours. This was written for those who are already involved in the industry. This was more an industry press release rather than a general public press release.
I have 20 kw of back of...
I know marine transfer switches are three pole. You can't leave the neutral attached to shore power and sail out of the harbor. I have seen rotary switches that are ul listed up to 150 amps. Here is one such site. These are manual switch but automatic ones are also available...
Not yet. Just went live with the enphase system about a week a go after getting approval from the utility company. I am going to see if I can get enphase to work with me so as not to void the warranty. I will post once I have more info.
I have one and it is very well made. Mine says it was made in Switzerland so the it shoud be a lot better than the non-ul listed cheap ones. I use it as my travel charger. I have a GE durostation that works really well but they are no longer made. I have that mounted in my car port
