My readylift certified shop contacted readylift today and they discovered recently that the CCD sensors do not need to be repositioned with the 2” spacer kit so it is indeed compatible. I’m booked to get it installed November 1st and will let y’all know how it goes!
I hadn’t seen any pics of the CCD suspension so thought I’d share. Just brought her home and all I know is this is the smoothest vehicle I’ve ever driven (coming from a 2010 XLT so not saying much ?). I plan to get the 3.5” SST kit installed within weeks when it’s available so I hope it’ll be...
Devin is the same guy that told me the 2” leveling kit was compatible despite the site clearly stating it was not. Over the phone technical support confirmed the 3.5” kit works since it includes the CCD brackets on the upper control arms. The site still shows the 3.5” is compatible.
Like I said above, I’m planning to do the 3.5” SST kit. The readylift site AND technical support staff confirm CCD compatibility. My local shop said their warehouse should start sending them out in a couple weeks and my truck is in transit to be delivered later this month.
I’ll report back once...
Just got off phone with readylift and they confirmed the 2” does not work but they did say that the 3.5” SST kit DOES work. The control arms have built in brackets for the various sensors. I’m planning to go with that and don’t mind paying more for it. Plus the added height is gonna be nice!
Although the readylift rep emailed that it should work, I don’t believe it just yet. Heard on the other forum someone called them and heard the opposite that it won’t work. If you look at the expedition kit, it has brackets to reposition or hold the CCD sensor components.
I talked to my local...
@tkemiller84 Thanks for this post! I’m looking at the fuel blitz +1 offset mainly because the +20 is back ordered. I also like the concave look with the larger offset.
I was going to stick with 295s but now I’m going to go with 285s.
Do you have pics at full lock?
Haven’t heard anything additional from readylift but their response was very clear that the 2” level works with CCD. My build isn’t til 10/4 but as soon as I get it, I’ll confirm if it indeed works or not.
Devin Watkins at Readylift just emailed me back and said the following:
Will,
Thanks for reaching out,
Our 2" leveling kit should be able to be installed with no issue on CCD trucks. Our 3.5" kit however will need one as we are replacing the factory control arms.
Thanks,
A little surprising...
Thanks! I’m still can’t decide between 285/65 or 290/60. I plan to get the air design fender flares so I’m ok with a little poke. Good to know they sit flush with the factory wheels.
I’m still waiting on my iconic silver platinum and was thinking of taking scotch brite to the side mirror caps and handles to tone down the chrome, giving it more of a satin chrome or brushed aluminum finish to match the grill better…has anyone tried this?
