Thanks for waking me up to reality! I wonder if any consequences are covered by my Ford Protect extended warranty! Doesn't seem like a "normal wear" issue (that's not covered).
Removed the left (side of the vehicle) front frunk cover to check brake fluid levels and in twiddling around with the cover clips, decided to check out how the fasteners on the right front frunk cover were doing. I've only removed the right front frunk once or twice before. That was back in...
Well, now the SOC charge level is back - must have been something like server maintenance... At any rate, seems like you can't always depend on finding your LVB SOC posted under the <your name> account button.
If I go to "James' account," the display of any vehicle information is now gone. Used to work like a charm. Maybe Ford got tired of all the owners using server electricity to find their LVB SOC?

I haven't read the whole rest of the thread yet after the quoted post above, but you can also use the link to apply to be in the EAP (program). I just did, and now "WaitListed" appears on the left heading of my online Ford account. I said that since I have a Home Integration System and have been...
Interesting article in The Street on how Musk's edict that all new Teslas will come equipped with FSD (for $12,000 extra) has boosted Tesla stock.

I always carry my fob with me in a Faraday cage I bought on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B4DNQZ34/ but I found the following about "No key detected!"
In the ten months I've owned my Lightning, I've often gotten the "No key detected" while using PAAK. What I've found works ~100%...
Not sure why you are compelled to make ad hominem remarks. My report was just about where Ford as a company might be heading with the Home Integration System (and even with massively big and massively expensive EV trucks - but you don't give that part of my post much attention, and potentially...
Unfortunately, that's my thought entirely, too. When 99% of Lightning owners aren't using HIS, it's just an annoying, in-the-way mystery in the FordPass app, particularly when there's a programmed invitation in the FP app last time I checked to set up backup power transfer, etc., check its...
The following Ford announcement arrived Friday, 3/22/24, and got put in my JUNK mail folder. Only noticed it today. Probably was only sent to existing Home Integration System (Intelligent Backup Power) owners, like yours truly...
A new way to manage Intelligent Backup Power is up ahead.

@Maxx, to save you a Google search, see reference #2 from my previous post. A lot of what it has to say agrees with the gist of what you have been saying. It says a dominant factor in determining speed limits is that limits should be set within 5 mph of what the 85th percentile of traffic...
For one thing, @Maxx, apart from how average speed compares to the posted speed limit when the studies were done, the graphs you posted cite "average" speed. It might have been better to refer to median speed. Averages can be driven off the true center by outliers and skewness. If deviations...
Since the articles announcing NTSB involvement appeared a couple weeks after the accident (2/24/24), and the driver's name is not mentioned in either the MySanAntonio.com or the AP article, that's usually an indication, at least in San Antonio, a person has not yet been charged with a crime...
Your particular citation doesn't mean a whole bunch without providing information, such as how much the average speed differed from the posted speed. There are also no error bars on the data on the graphs. If the average speed deviated little from the posted speech, the "data" you post would...
One possible quibble with the Out of Spec results is that I don't think they started with factory-fresh vehicles, but some of them, like the Lightning, were driven for quite a while before the test. I haven't watched the video yet, but I'd be interested to know what the relative health of each...
@Maxx, to put my remarks in context, I lived through the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo, and very expensive gas (for the day) and gas lines in 1974, etc., resulting in the reduction of the national speed limit on Interstate highways to 55 mph. One of my favorite songs coming out of that experience was...
The Associated Press seems to be the original source of the story "NTSB To Investigate Mach-E Crash into Honda CRV": US to investigate Texas fatal crash that may have involved Ford partially automated driving system | AP News.
That article seems to be written with less hype and simply states...
I think you also have to consider that there are stationary objects along the road to be hit, such as the stockstill Honda CRV hit by the Mach-E in the news article or objects that have fallen off vehicles (my wife hit a paint bucket at 65 mph on a very busy Interstate where she couldn't swerve...

OTH, the NTSB conclusion might just be that Ford has designed a BlueCruise system that allows the vehicle to self-drive at overly high-speed and doesn't demand the driver take control and responsibility for continuing at the given speed when the system can't see...
