Similarly, needing one or more modules to be replaced in my 22 Lariat ER. Dealer has confirmed that parts are needed and it's covered under warranty, but hasn't given me a full timeframe or specifics on what module(s) as of yet. Hoping I can pick it up this afternoon and drive it until the...
My closest dealer (5-10 minutes) said drop it off and we'll get to it when we can.... didn't take it there. The dealer 25 minutes away told me on Monday they could look at it on Wednesday, so that's where it went.
Loaners at both dealers were quoted at weeks-long waiting lists, though the...
Same story for me this past week except power was only reduced to 57% on my 2022. Dropped it at the dealer on Tuesday night and waiting on diagnostics to be run -- they called at the end of the day yesterday and said they'd need today to complete them and will update me when they have results.
I don't know the build month of my Lariat ER off the top of my head (and the truck is now at the dealer so I can't check the label), but I'd guess June or July since I took delivery in late August after someone else refused delivery on their order.
I will definitely contact BEV customer service...
Update
Most local dealer (5 minutes away) wants me to just drop it off and wait until they can look at it. Eff that. Don't really like them that much anyway.
Next closest dealer (25 minutes away) said to drop it off Tuesday night and they can look at it on Wednesday or Thursday. This service...
Last OTA was Sept 26, so, yeah ... likely a bad module. Had my new 12v sitting in the barn so I swapped it in, just in case (old one was at 59% soh now that it's cold), but no change, as I anticipated would be the case.
Guessing at just under 39 months and 42k miles I have developed a bad module in the battery pack. Got in the other morning and instantly got a wrench light. Charge was at 90% as expected, but could see power was reduced to 57%. Had stuff that had to be done so off I went. All good, just reduced...
It seems to come down to who your insurer is. I've been rear-ended ($7k) and had an incident with a small tree when I slid off my driveway ($4k) and neither one led either of the insurers to decide to write off the truck. In both, a large part of the cost was in replacing lighting.
I know you're being funny, but when I got rear-ended back in '23, it was about $7k... including a new tailgate, new light bar, and new hitch receiver. The GM product in question looked much worse than that Kia, too.
I get the need to replace road funding monies, but they didn't institute fees on more fuel efficient vehicles, which have reduced the amount of gas tax dollars flowing into the states/feds far more than what EVs have done. They need to move to a completely different model for all vehicles and...
All good on my end of August 2022 with ~40k, too. Still need to work on getting the passenger seatbelt receiver to quit tapping on the console, but it hasn't been bothersome enough for me to think about it when the truck is parked. Dealer put some padding on on the back of it when I mentioned it...
My permit fees were $250 in Michigan when I paid out of pocket for my Autel charger to be installed... I also thought that it was high, but not enough to fight over given the time it would take me to learn what was required and file for the permit on my own.
There are folks who have automatic updates turned off on their trucks... some have gone as far as to disable to modem entirely... that's what Ford is talking about, not applying updates, some of which could affect BC. After your trial expires you'll still have ACC with lane centering available...
Thanks for making me feel better about my 16 cent rate at summer off-off peak hours (11PM-6AM) and 19 cent rate for off-peak (6AM-2PM and 7PM-11PM). My max rate is 23 cents.
