  1. Lightning software bugs?

Mach E owner here. Phone as a Key works fine for both of our phones. Mine took some time to get installed but the wife's phone synced up immediately and has worked fine since. If you search the Mach E forum you will se many posts about it not working. Not my experience so far
  2. 15” Screen Lag

I have a MME and don't see any screen lag. It can be finicky about where you touch to get a particular function to work but once you learn where to touch it's all good.
  3. What cars do you have now?

Just added a 2021 Mach E 4x and unloaded the Jeep rubicon. Sorry, no pics
  4. The challenges of RVing an EV

I will say that I was a bit nervous leaving the dealer and wondering if this thing was gonna leave me stranded. The lowest percentage I got to was 9% and that was because I underestimated the amount I really needed to get home on the last charge. I made it but would have like a bit more buffer...
  5. Charging prices and why

To your point about charging locations while traveling. I JUST purchased a Mach E from a dealer in Dubuque Iowa this past weekend. I live in Oneida TN. Left the dealer in Iowa and added my home address as destination. Was then routed to a EA DCFS in Bloomington Illinois, from there drove to...

  7. The challenges of RVing an EV

Agreed. The problem is getting the owners to see this potential. I know of parks that will not allow someone to come in and dump their tanks even as they sit with empty sites. Someone will have to explain/show them the potential and even then they may not get it
  8. The challenges of RVing an EV

We full timed in an RV for a couple of years, my parents have done it for close to 16yrs. So, I have some experience with RV parks. State parks, in general, are older parks, designed for the smaller RVs of the time and generally limited to 30amps.....there may be a few 50amp sites scattered...
  9. Charging prices and why

Well, I certainly don't expect TN to be at the forefront in rewarding EV purchases but $100 on my registration is palatable. What's the deal on charging prices? kWh vs per min rates
  10. Charging prices and why

New to the EV world and have a Lightning reserved and we are considering a Mach E in the mean time. Doing some research I noticed that some states charge by the minute instead of per kWh at public charge stations. Why and who does it benefit to charge differently? Also, found that in TN there...
  11. Reservation holders for 2022 F-150 Lightning - sign in here!

Res #10962647 I forgot I had an account there already. Thanks for the reminder
  12. What cars do you have now?

2018 F150 XLT Sport 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon hard Rock lifted 4" rolling on 37s
  13. Reservation holders for 2022 F-150 Lightning - sign in here!

I don't know what my res number is  I deleted the email and can't find it now. I have had a couple of emails from the dealer about it, just no idea where I stand in line. I do have plans for later in the week to go talk to them about it and potentially a Mach E while I'm there
  14. Ford F-150 Lightning Will Be 1st All-Electric Pickup Truck To Offer Full-Size Spare Tire

I'm 58 and can only remember changing a tire roadside once on a Chevy van. Tire was easy enough to get to on a door mount carrier, jack was inside behind a body panel and had to unload a bunch of camping gear to get to it. Grrrr. My current F150 has a spare tire, however, from the factory it...
  15. Reservation holders for 2022 F-150 Lightning - sign in here!

I submitted a reservation. Was pretty late to the game so I'm not holding my breath. Dealer did contact me and I have communicated with them. Got confirmation that they are not adding ADM and that they are, in fact, an EV Certified dealership with a few charge stations. Was quite surprised to...
  16. 2WD selection

A running portable generator will run about 8hrs under load on a full tank, at least in my experience when using one to power part of our house during a power outage. I'm not gonna be the guy that tries to charge his truck while driving tho. ;)
  17. Lightning Dashboard Rant

I like it. I would also like the ability to angle it like xtraman122 suggested, that wold be cool. Make it part of the driver memory settings
  18. Are reservation holders required to pay MSRP + markup?

Just got a message from my dealer, Ray Varner in Clinton TN, no mark up
  19. Limited Lightning Tow Range

I hope it does. I saw this pic but was looking for confirmation. I know there's a lot of F250 and up towing gooseneck, but you don't see many 150s configured that way. At least not in my experience. We really prefer gooseneck over bumper pull towing
  20. Limited Lightning Tow Range

I have a question that I haven't seen asked here. Current F150 has a goose neck hitch for our horse trailer. We are under the max tow weight for that vehicle and long trips don't happen very often. Mostly short trips to the trail head and home. Even with range halved we wouldn't have a problem...
