negative - FordPass has just said I can't activate since it was built. Dealer has refused to provide any updates or do anything to make noise about my situation.
Also for folks trying to figure out why this is happening, I speculated in my build week thread. https://www.f150lightningforum.com/forum/threads/%F0%9F%9B%A0-8-15-lightning-build-week-group.10214/page-115#post-269787
For everyone in the thread that is trying to figure out what the hell is going on with trucks still at railheads, here is the best I can figure between what @Ford Motor Company and my dealer have told me.
1. Our builds were not actually completed when they left the factory, because of a...
Dealer was able to share a couple weeks back that the truck is on a chip hold at the Winston railyard. Today, Ford.com showed the ETA bumped from 10/24 to 11/8. I am absolutely furious at the whole process. New units are rolling off the line in Michigan fully constructed and my truck is sitting...
Did you also order through Huntersville Ford? I've been emailing with the general manager and he's trying to gaslight me into believing the ETA hasn't changed.
Bumped once again, new delivery date is now 10/18-10/24. To recap: Blend date 8/16, by the start of September it was headed my way. Ford Chat and railroad tracking had it arriving at a railhead in Winston-Salem on 9/6. So it'll be spending just shy of two months sitting in a parking lot. Does...
Delivery date pushed from 9/28-10/3 to 10/4-10/11. So my truck will have sat in a rail yard 70 miles from the dealer for at least four weeks, maybe longer. Incredibly frustrating for the last mile which is such a standard part of the logistics for any vehicle to be so egregiously delayed.
My truck may be stuck in Winston-Salem rail yard purgatory for another 2-3 weeks, but at least Ford sent along a nice pic of it rolling off the Rouge assembly line.
Ford chat confirmed today it's sitting in a yard in Winston-Salem, 75 minutes from me. So it could be waiting three whole weeks for a truck to take in less than two hours. Exasperating!
Been a busy week and just checked my ETA for the first time in a few days. ETA has slipped from 9/10-9/16 to 9/27-10/3 despite being shipped and having a railcar assigned already. Will try and figure out what's going on today with Ford chat. As far as I can tell I never went in to microchip...
Well my truck has made it from Michigan to North Carolina. Norfolk-Southern car number reported out in Winston-Salem as-of yesterday so it's less than two hours drive from me now. Anybody know what the last mile delivery contractor is for NC? United Road isn't showing anything for my VIN.
