A slightly larger 12v battery would solve most of those concerns for daily use anyway .

Biggest issue is it would only be a battery warmer on. Lightning , as it has no heater core . You’d have to install an aftermarket one w fan somewhere in the cab . Then you’d have to pipe it into your existing ducts to get a real defrost system. Just seems like to much money, work and modding...

No an F350/lightning and a RAV4 prime thanks never owned and will never own a Tesla , I’m a realist I call it how I see t, my 11 F350 is an amazing truck , Thirsty yes but will run and run and run w little to no issues . Ford quality has been dropping since 2014 -16 and hasn’t stopped .

This is a half ton tpersonal use truck . It’s not an HD , the most ppl usually carry is some groceries and maybe tow a small trailer it’s not like you can carry anything big in the 5ft bed anyway . If I am going to load it up, I’d take the heavier duty GM w its 8 lug wheels and HD brakes...

I haven’t seen anything exceptional about the lightning to believe it’s better than the Silverado ev. The lightning while it drives nice and it quiet ,it has a lot of software issues, and updates often don’t come or get hung up . The body panel fitment is a joke for such an expensive vehicle ...

Then torque is what gets you going , in the SR is noticeably lighter with the same amount of torque instantly off the line, I would think it would be very similar out of the hole if anything the lighter truck may jump if traction is available , once moving the larger Battery higher horsepower...

But it’s carrying what 400 extra lbs between the big battery and mandatory pano roof on the lariats ? It’s going to affect acceleration and the torque is the same

Trucks won’t ever be there , durability is far more important in a pickup than a Porsche , Battery pack on the Porsche is just like its gas engines , very high output and short life . Our pickups are built to last not go and charge fast , just my .02c?
