So, while payment is an issue, it's possible to offer the software for free until the issues are resolved. I know this is not ideal, but if the software is completely unavailable, another product can/will be developed and if the sanctions are ever resolved, ForScan will turn out to be no longer...
I dont understand what context you're asking as part of, or how the sanctions relate, but ForScan can do this. I know that an extended license for forscan is required to do some work, but I don't remember what the payment method is, which may be a problem. ForScan would be easier than IDS, IMHO.
you need to do 360 camera alignment. you also need to stay in specific speeds (i did ~10mph). the car will show 100% but FDRS will take roughly double the distance. I did it on a short 1/4 mi road that i drove up and down 5-6 times and now i'm good to go.
With BMWs we use a tool for F and G chassis called E-Sys. It's a factory diagnostic and low-level editing tool that dealerships do not have. It was protected by certificates but those were able to be re-generated by a gentleman named TokenMaster (haha). After a few years, BMW basically...
what i do after i'm "finished" is close FDRS completely. restart the computer, and use the checkbox next to your saved vehicle, then click the trash can just above the checkbox to delete stored data. i then read the VIN from vehicle and rerun the network scan (mongoose only). that will show...
here's the best, glitch-free way to do it (from my 17 hours of experience since i got the feature... haha):
the card on the right side is good for bed camera, the camera button camera is good for the hitch view. i figure, the hitch view is what i want to see up close, and the overall view just...
it says a crack is not required... there are lots of cracks to make the software work, and that poster is specifically calling out they are not doing that.
bluecruise is cool I guess, but that is truly the best feature. we're about to go on a cross country trip pulling the airstream, and being able to see the hitch and the trailer is so nice.
I'm using it with my Motorcraft account for a few months, works just fine. However, +7 is the country code for RU, so I'm not sure if they are still operational (aka, able to accept payment from us) anymore. Worth a try, they responded on WhatsApp quite quickly.
i've done all the USB updates without re-inserting the USB. The only one that it actually asked me to reinsert the USB drive into the computer was the upgrade to 1.7.1 OTA equivalent. However, it took 30 days for the USB drive to kick off the update in the truck, and then when it uploaded the...
i created another post for those needing help and those wishing to offer help, similar to how I do it in some BMW forums.
https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/volunteers-fdrs-and-forscan-help-by-location.9532/
Location: Austin, TX (South Austin, technically in the town of Manchaca).
Abilities: FDRS and ForScan
Hardware (if FDRS): Mongoose
Additional information: I have a battery maintainer for FDRS software updates
Starting this thread to mimic what I've seen in some BMW groups. In those groups there are people that have the required software, cable, battery maintainers, and knowledge to help others with programming. Those people volunteer to have fellow owners drop by so they can assist and teach those...
