Yes, I’ve always leased with $0 down. This time I’m financing to take advantage of the tax credit. I wasn’t sure about the gap insurance but figured it probably wouldn’t matter with the down payment and the unique situation with this truck
I’ve always leased cars, so I’ve never dealt with this. Do I need to get Gap insurance with the lightning?
It’s $80k, I’m putting $25k down and financing the rest.
My insurance company didn’t offer it, so I can but it through the credit union with the loan.
Any advice?
This is pretty much the route I think I’ll go. I did Ford Options on my Mustang Mach E because I knew it was going to be short term and they gave $2500 rebate (offset the $2k markup over msrp).
I’m not sure if this will be a long term truck for me or not, but I am pretty confident it’s going to...

Latest from my sales rep:
“Yours has been built and released to the ramp. It should be on a train soon.”
Is that pretty much what we already know at this point?

I feel like it was just a mad rush to order it and not enough answers to questions. One of the factors in getting the Lariat was the whole house generator…only to realize they wanted about $9k to do it.
Either way, just throwing it out there in case there was interest. Ultimately when it...
I have a Lariat with extended battery on order, 5/3 week build. As the deliveries drag on, it’s giving me time to think and I’m having second thoughts.
I need a truck for business and pleasure. I didn’t really want an $80k truck but there wasn’t anything in between with an extended battery...
From my sales rep:
“Yours is built. We are just waiting on what they call the OK to buy. They need to produce a few thousand perfectly before they release them. Hopefully any day now. “
