It’s still cheaper than buying the Ford VCM3 at a price of $1,600 USD list. I just spread the cost out, any of my family or friends that want their trucks fixed I ask for a small donation of their choice.

I was talking with the Ford OTA group today questioning the OTA system and it’s operability. Long story short is they are supposed to release the update to fix the 1.7.1 problem by the end of the month. They did not say though if this would be another OTA fix or if it would be a dealer fix.

For those of us in Canada that have done all the updates but not received their BC activation through the FordPass app or online all I can say is be patient. It took 48 hours for mine to kick off and I received this today!

Weird, my PTS looks different than yours. I’m just accessing mine through the Motorcraft service website.

Anyone have access to PTS? For some reason my VIN is showing the following and I suspect it may have something to do with OTA update not working but also not being able to send data to the mothership?

Still no activation for me and my AB data looks bang on. May be a Canadian thing that we’re not getting past the activation pending. Any Canadian trucks that are updated get a successful activation?

I can confirm BC works without the need for formal activation on Fords Connected Services page in Canadian trucks.

Lucky! I’m still waiting for mine to change from “Activation Pending”. Hope this isn’t a US/Canada thing where is Canadians get shafted and have to continue to wait.

I am not. I’m in Canada where the early access wasn’t rolled out as an option.

Interestingly these values are now gone in my AB information after the latest rounds of updates. Just for the sake of things I re-ran all the available updates even though they didn’t clear and then allowed it to re-run a network scan. All my AB info looks good now.

FWIW, the IPMA, GSM, ABS and one other module I can’t remember never cleared for me after they updated but they definitely updated. Often times you need to do a network scan to see new modules that may have updates available. Sometimes one update depends on another.

Did your PC go to sleep? I had one do that and afterwards I turned off any power management so it never goes to sleep and never turns off the display. Haven’t had a problem since.

Does everyone who has recently updated their IPMA have the same values as below in the AB data? Also what did you use? Mongoose or Ford VCM?
