I'm in the same boat. I've narrowed it down to Toyo Open Country A/T III vs BFG KO2. Most reviews I've read say that the BFG is better off road and the Toyo is better on road with better wear going to Toyo.

This Method 316 wheel has a +18mm offset and is 9" wide so I'm thinking it will push out (44mm-18mm)=26mm + ((9"-8.5")/2)= 6.35mm = 32 mm compared to stock. Is that flush and if not how much poke is it?

I've looked for reviews on the Goodyear Owl AT that come stock on the FX4 18" wheels and can't find anything to inform me if it's a good tire or just something that Ford throws on there because they can get it cheap and in bulk.

Anyone have their dealer swap the tires for something different before taking delivery and if so did the dealer offer a credit for the stock tires?

Just realized that a pad likely won't work as I'll have a Bed Rug installed so the straps can't go through the tailgate gap. I could always make some cuts in the Bed Rug if I decide I really want to use a pad.
