  1. How often do you actually use the 9.6 kw pro power on board?

I actually got my powerwalls installed a few months ago, I've had 2 outages since then and didn't even notice! The automatic switchover is very impressive.
  2. Denied Colorado State tax Credit

This happened to me. I amended my return (you can do this free on CO's website) and checked the 'light truck' option instead. Got the 5k back a few weeks later.
  3. Charging rate at 50KW ?

I recall getting the full 50 KW until around 90%. It took 2 hours for me to go from 15-90% on a 50kw charger and another hour to go from 90-100% when I last used one.
  4. Lightning SR spring break road trip from Central Texas to South Padre Island

That's a bit disappointing with the 90% thing, especially if you get charged idle fees afterwards
  5. Nation's First F-150 Lightning Vehicle-To-Home Grid Support Successful (Operated by Sunrun)

How did this go OP? Are you still able to use your trucks battery to power your home at specific times of the day?
  6. Farley believes he knows how to beat the Chinese on EVs

One reason I liked the lightning is it really is a brute forced EV with a giant battery to compensate. I had a feeling they will change it up on the next refresh in a way that's worse for me. If Ford wanted to sell these better they should not have tried to price gouge at the launch. It made...
  7. Got to 2%, 5 miles to go - then I experienced something I didnt

You know, on my most recent road trip the weather got cold and the estimated percentage for when I got home kept dropping.. At first Google said we would get there with 15% range but it got down to 7% and would have kept going down. My wife got worried so we stopped to charge at a slowish DC...
  8. What proven device allows to watch Netflix/other phone apps.

This is what I bought (NA version) after seeing a comment on here.. Works great, but there does seem to be a possible spyware app installed. Some weird random app (I think it was like a drawing app or LED app) had permissions to view my screen. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807298551970.html
  9. 2024 2.4 kW Real World Use?

I haven't seen it said yet but if you're worried about powering multiple high power devices for short times you can also just buy a bunch of portable power stations with the money saved. Charge them from the truck and when you need to pull higher than 2.4kw you can..
  10. My Goal: to never pay for charging (Solar) -- my automation process

I use Home Assistant too, did you get the truck connected to it? How so? If not, how do you handle charge limits on the truck? i.e. you want to dump excess solar but you're already at your charge limit.
  11. Does charging to 100% use the full 140+ kWh battery?

Thanks for the answers all. I've also noticed the SOC go from 99% to 100% after I disconnected from a fast charge.
  12. Does charging to 100% use the full 140+ kWh battery?

I noticed a few things whenever I charge to 100%. 1) It takes a lot longer to from 99% to 100% than any other percentage. 2.) While driving, it stays at 100% for much more miles. We drove 14 miles before the truck went to 99% battery. See photos Just going by the 2 miles per kWh efficiency...
  13. Winter is here! Heat pump comparison tests?

Does preconditioning the battery use heat pump or resistive heating? Does turning on climate control in the app also condition the batteries? I'm thinking we can just turn on climate control and measure the power draw via the EVSE if possible. I currently don't have full 11 kW charging at home...
  14. Extended Range 320 Miles???

The range estimates on EV marketing is BS. If I buy another EV it will definitely always be the long range version.
  15. Home charging using 220v

Yeah numbers make sense, trucks get less mileage than cars.
  16. Winter is here! Heat pump comparison tests?

Now that cold days are here are there any direct comparisons on how much the heat pump helps with efficiency?
  17. What’s your exit plan for the truck?

Hopefully I can scrap the batteries whenever my lightning dies
  18. New BlueCruise e-mail from Ford

Someone once said on this forum they put a 1lb weight on the steering wheel so cruise control thinks your hands are on the wheel. I think I'm just going to do this when my trial expires. Hell I should do it now because blue cruise likes to disengage every few miles on curves, etc anyway. Why...
