In South Dakota, the annual EV fee is $50. Our Fuel tax is $.42. Average fuel economy here is 21mpg.
That means for my average usage of 20,000 miles per year, the fuel tax is about $400. I will happily pay $50.
The site 5 miles out is still not have internet but I can use cellular there. If the chargers will operate dumb, I can bring the charger there to update over my cell laptop.
I have the same question about the need for internet access. I plan to install 2 CSPs. One will be 5 miles in the country and the other will be 20 miles in the country without IP access. Yes I live in South Dakota. To bring internet to the one 20 miles out will cost in excess of $100,000...
Status update. Back in Rouge. Still in production. In transit flag has been unchecked.
Talked to CSR today and got a case number and a promise of escalation out of them.
checked with customer service again today. The new status is in production and in transit. I was also told the clear to ship has not been checked and they were unable to give me a last known location.
Online tracking still shows my truck is still IP. However, I Called the customer service hotline and they say it has shipped with an estimated arrival date of 1/22/2024. Don't think I'll hold my breath yet. Dealer says it's last known location was Allen Park ILL.
Excuse me. Allen Park MI.
I am still waiting on mine. Ford says it is IP. All modules have been installed. Tear tag assigned. Had 38 miles on it as of 9/19/23. Still in production.
Wish Ford would tell me what's going on.
