  1. Beauty shots doing truck stuff in and around WI

Just some quick pics I grabbed recently heading to the property in Wisconsin. A veterans memorial, loaded up with supplies and the dirt bike, towing an stump grinder (1.4 mi/kwh if you are curious), etc.
  2. What do you call / name your Lightning?

    ClifFord, the big red truck
  3. Never trust the dashboard, EPA and Ford.

Your idea would be helpful to us and correct...but most buyers would just be confused.
  4. Found a Lightning fire department truck

The truck pictured in the original post is not the truck described later as having the Lariat badges removed. Two different firetrucks being discussed here, FYI.
  5. What is this yellow adapter(?) that came with my Lightning?

I got one of these yellow adaptors in my used '22 Lariant ER. I thought it was an aftermarket purchase by the previous owner. Interesting....
  6. Preconditioning battery for L3 charging

I do love the way Tesla does it on my Model 3. Give time for the Ford, maybe we will get the same thing.
  7. Found a Lightning fire department truck

Yeah, that is weird for sure. Someone is a financially-concious (paranoid?) that doesnt want a chance of public uproar!
  8. Ford Adapter Delayed; Glad I got an A2Z

I will second the praise for A2Z. Ordered my Level 3 DC Tesla adaptor from them the morning that Ford announced the free one (because I didnt want to wait for the Ford one, I still ordered the free Ford one). A2Z delivered on time (within their 2 week estimate) despite all the orders that...
  9. Found a Lightning fire department truck

I dont know what is more surprising, that they are ordering Lariats or that they go to the trouble of removing a rather small, camoflauged and obscure badge that most people dont even notice. Interesting for sure.
  10. Thinking about upgrading to ER…

In October 2023, I bought my 2022 Lariat ER with 14k miles for $58k locally, $54k after the Illinois EV credit. At the time it was the cheapest ER in the country on Autotrader. There are cheaper ones out there now with similar miles and spec (I had to have Pro Power 9.6kw, Max Tow, active lane...
  11. 285 75 18 Nitto A/T tires on my 2022 Lariat ER

Interesting idea. Or, for long road trips, one big static airdam like some of the other Fords and the new Tacoma
  12. Offroading in my Lariat ER at Badlands Offroad Park

It did great. The hill climb at 6:40 in the video really showed what that torque will do when everyone else that tried it failed.
  13. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

I use two different mounts. The one you saw me using was this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G82X5CY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also use an RAM Mount for other purposes. Not cheap but its good. I like them both...
  14. 285 75 18 Nitto A/T tires on my 2022 Lariat ER

Good point. I thought of that a few nights ago but forgot to put it in my post. I figure with this knowledge, theoretically, the range on my dashboard should deplete at a slower rate than expected right? For example: The truck thinks I am getting 1.6 mi/kwh. So, it will give me a range of...
  15. Chicago to Gulf of Mexico - Charging reports, charging speeds and costs with EA, Mercedes and Tesla NACS

Yeah, I get why you say that. My kids are amazing on road trips: really the best. They dont seem to mind and may even enjoy the extra, mandated time to stop and walk around. We had fun at the Corvette Factory, Cookout, trying Pucketts again with a live band, etc. That being said, if I 100% had...
  16. Navigation to Superchargers

Same with me. I did a whole 2000 mile trip 2 weeks ago and I didnt know why they werent appearing.
