Being able to stay in Sport is my number 1 request for new features. I never got 6.3 but I am hoping that Ford implements it correctly and rolls it out in a future update.
Any active recall should show up in FordPass. This is probably the notice for a recall that you’ve already had fixed. You can also put your VIN in on this site and see if there are any open.

There are two theories floating around. One is that Ford paused all updates during the holidays since the support teams and the dealers are likely to be closed. Also, I’m sure the tow truck companies charge a premium on holidays. I last failed installing 6.5 on Friday just before 5 and then it...
Thanks. I had left the truck running for 3 hours Thursday and couldn’t get the 12V over 79%. On Friday I drove for 45 minutes and got it to 82% just before the second to last failure. I’m going to go back to the dealer next week to get the 12V tested because I’m still convinced that it has an issue.
Mine did the same. Downloaded on Thursday, failed twice Thursday and twice Friday and now says it will try again with the next update (pictures above). My VIN is 1FTVW1EL9PWG02240 if you can check it too.
The solenoid seems to induce enough current in the ground to trip the ground fault. I’ve also seen it trip when I switch back to grid power. Like @Lightning Rod says above you just need to reset it.
The last two days I’ve been running the truck and driving around to get the 12V above 80%. After 4 failures it looks like @Ford Motor Company has pulled the update for me. I thought they were starting to get the OTA process under control but it’s still a shit show. I’m doing some more research...
Downloaded today and failed install twice already. After the first try the 12V was at 76% so I left it on in the garage for 3 hours and it only got to 80%. I kicked it off again and it failed a second time. I’m thinking I need to keep it parked where it will be easy to tow.
There doesn’t seem to be any logic behind where they put magic docks. Several million people vacation on the North Carolina Outer Banks every year and Tesla just installed a 12 bay Supercharger in Nags Head (the red circle) in November. There was already an 8 bay V2 about 5 miles north. There...
That cable looks like it is only rated for 250A. They are careful to spec it as up to 250 kW and it is rated for 1000V. They never specify the current limit so more than likely the only way to get 250 kW is on a 1000V system. On the lightning you’ll only get around 100 kW. Also, it’s not clear...
This guy installed a VHF radio in a Lightning. He used a very cool mount that replaces the high mount brake light. Just make sure you’re sitting down when you go to check the price.
Also, I've gotten texts on two days that there would be a "pause charge event" when I would not be able to charge. Both were set for the times that weren't allowed for charging already so I assume they are verifying that people can opt out.
I received the first bill and here is how it worked out. I received a credit for $35.80 for charging so for the month I saved $10.81. Using the kWh pricing (sum of the Energy Charge and Storm Recovery Cost) it looks like Ford reported 299.7 kWh. I have an Autel charger and the app allows me to...
Visually you can tell the difference. V2s have a silver ring around the cable just below the connectors. The V3 does not. Ford chose to park at a V2 for the picture they used to announce the deal.
The V4 cables are longer. Also, Tesla is removing the bollards from a lot of their stations because the cables are too short to reach the Cybertruck. The front camera is going to be essential in pulling into superchargers.
More fart sounds and stuff that you can do with CarPlay. My 2009 Fusion has been able to call 911 for the last 13 years. They didn’t mention that they removed Disney+ because Musk is having a spat with Bob Iger.
You can turn off the seat yo-yoing by turning off the Easy Entry and Exit. It drove me crazy but I’m pretty tall so my seat is almost all the way back. It only moved a couple of inches so it wasn’t worth it but if you sit closer to the steering wheel it might be useful.
You could turn off the...
I just got 6.4 when I ran an errand today and Apple Maps EV routing just showed up. I never got 6.3. I did get 6.2 and last week got the NAT-VCE update. It looks like 6.4 is the same as 6.3 with the driving mode change removed.
Have you repeated this since last year? I don’t have any hard data but I suspect that Ford has improved this some. I’ve gotten up to 178 kW in the initial hump (and I’ve seen other posts with similar comments) and it seems the flat part in the middle stays above 100 kW up to 80%. Also, my...
