I might be late to the party with this but I just found a nice Lightning manufacturing video on YouTube. Maybe you will see your truck being born!!
If this is posted somewhere else already let me know and I will tear down the thread.
That's exactly why I said to wait for someone who knows more than me ? . Nice info @cwstnsko I learned something.
I guess there are not many if any AC chargers with the CCS style plug other than FCSP so no real demand for the adapter to be made.
Thanks for keeping us straight.
@Mike G I am a little lost on how this all works? I don't have any update notifications in over 3 weeks since I took delivery and my BlueCruise maps expired in September 2022. Are you able to look up anyone's software status by VIN and if things require updating but aren't happening do you have...
@MrGreyS1K Thanks for posting this. I put mine on (as you described) a couple of weeks ago but forgot to reply. Works really well. Great info and pictures so I appreciate it.
I think a Model Y should charge no problem on FCSP but you will need a CCS to Tesla adapter.
From memory the Model Y max charge rate is 11.5KW / 48 amps and the car will limit to this even though the FCSP is set to a max of 80 amps. You get a J1772 adapter as standard with the Tesla but not a...
You are absolutely correct. Petrol is sold in litres (currently about £1.45 a litre) and our road signs are in miles. We have to sell goods in metric grams/kilos (hangover from EU legislation pre Brexit) but most people still ask for 1/4 or half pounds etc...
Our McDonalds still have quarter...
In the UK we still use MPG but gallon size is bigger, just like UK pints are also bigger. (Good for the pub ??).
So when you see MPG's that are much smaller in US vs UK yes this is partly due to most cars having much larger engine sizes but also to do with the fact each US Gallon is smaller...
Patience is getting the better of me. I would buy the Tuxmats if they were in stock (with floor storage) but been waiting ages now so I think I am going to pull the trigger on Husky X-Act.
Should I be patient or there is not much difference to make the wait (unknown duration) worthwhile?
I still have not had a single update since picking up the truck a few weeks ago.
Old software interface and blue cruise maps still have an expiry date of September 2022.
Hugely disappointed in this process. Dealer visit is the only option I can think of but I heard they don’t know how to fix...
Super useful thread! I really like the look of that Peragon!
However I am constraining myself to tonneau covers that allow for T-slots so I can add rails (for bikes, canoes etc..). Not convinced I am over complicating things but if I decide to go this route it looks like my only options are the...
I really like the look of the Fitcamx front but also a bit concerned about the wire routing for the rear. Can you explain a bit more about the wiring you did for the rear? Thanks
Your thoroughness of response is fantastic thank you so much. (I’m not sure exactly what I meant by ‘officially’ either so you had no chance ?)
Given the info you provided, I’m going to give QMerit a shot.
Only thing I have to consider now is to install back up or just a simple charge station...
Are Qmerit offically allowed to install FCSP with Fords support either with or without HIS? i.e. can Sun Run be offically avoided for installation (I assume they will remain the only providers of equipment) without lots of hassel in getting things up and running and registered in Ford Pass app...
No joy they are still showing 10-9-2022. I will start with the dealer I have a couple of other little snags for them to sort out.
If that doesn't work I will come back to the experts here
My maps date in the truck expires 10/09/2022 but my subscription on Ford Pass expires 01/02/2026.
I have tried scheduled updates with automatic updates switched on and off but the truck just tells me there are no updates available.
I'm guessing this is a dealer job to sort it out?
Just throwing these into the mix. They are pricey though. Anyone got any experience with them?
they have rear floor storage and non storage options.

I have 24 miles on my truck and 3 huge creases in the drivers seat. Not sure anything can/will be done about it, I think I will just have to concentrate on the million other things I love about the truck to keep my mind off it.
I also have some chunky creases in the steering wheel leather which...
Thank you @TaxmanHog you do a fantastic job! I am looking forward to listening, learning and contributing to the features and foibles of owning a Lightning rather than just the ordering and delivery process/nightmare!
Apologies for the very bad picture but the weather in the Bay Area is worse...
