  1. Leaves in the radiator? Why is it designed like this?

My grill arrived yesterday afternoon. This morning I got to work and took a pic of what was in the HVAC condenser intake area in the center of the front bumper. Not a great angle really, and the pic doesn't do justice with what was actually waaay back up in there. That condenser is pretty big...
  2. Lightning Software Updates using FDRS

I have a GVMS block on my Lightning's APIM this morning. I wasn't in any danger of having to do an APIM update anyway. And on my '23 MME GT, I have a GVMS block that showed up on both the APIM and the TCU as well. Again, there weren't any updates pending for either of those modules. And both...
  3. DO NOT BRING LIGHNING IN FOR RECALLS! Truck is dead at dealer. ***Update 10/16, fixed after 5 weeks***

I was surprised that the tailgate top cap is a one-time use item that actually gets broken when it's removed. So the lightbar is new and so is that top cap they put on there. There's apparently no way to get a trim tool in to release the molded clips, so they break off if you try lifting it too...
  4. Leaves in the radiator? Why is it designed like this?

Just bought this. I asked these folks a couple of months ago when they were going to produce something for the Lightning....they listened.
  5. Liking my Lightning... but no way to lock tailgate in down position?

Well now I know there's at least two of us that sprung for the bed extender! I love that thing. I sometimes deploy the extender toward the inside of the bed and lock it in place so I can use it that way to secure diesel jugs with bungie cords at the very back of the bed when I go to fill them...
  6. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

She told me on the call earlier in the day that they had been totally taken by surprise. Knew nothing about the adapters being replaced until they started getting calls from owners. So yeah.....
  7. Liking my Lightning... but no way to lock tailgate in down position?

I see that I misspoke earlier......when the bed extender is deployed the pins lock in the top holes, not the bottom. They lock in the bottom holes when the extender is stowed. Rather than taking a pic, this is from the installation manual for the extender:
  8. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

The lady I talked with yesterday was reading directly from the internal correspondence and said that was the part number that was being replaced. I asked her about serial numbers and she repeated that according to what she was just sent and read to me..it was that part number. No mention of...
  9. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Look for Part (P) 1434343-00-D….regardless of the serial number. That’s the batch that’s being replaced according to my discussion with the BEV team this afternoon.
  10. Liking my Lightning... but no way to lock tailgate in down position?

It does lock in the down position if you bought the bed extender. The bed extender has two pins that lock into the lower holes when it is deployed and that keeps the tailgate from flopping up and down.
  11. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Mine are the 27th and the 30th of May...even closer than yours. But, yeah....who knows which ones are in the 'bad batch'....
  12. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I have no idea which of those two serials are bad, or if both of them are. I only got one email, but I have two adapters. If I were guessing, I'd say the earliest one made (on the left) is the one that is in the suspect group, simply because others who've posted with dates made 4-5 days before...
  13. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I recommend those posting info about their adapters include the manufacturing date listed above the serial number on their adapter, rather than their reservation or delivery date. That way we can bracket what day(s) the bad batch(es) were made. As @TaxmanHog has posted, the five characters...
  14. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

Read the 5 digits after the GF2 on your adapter and enter them here or here to find out what day your adapter was made.
  15. Tesla NACS Adapter Recall / Replacement Notice (10/24/24)

I got one email from Ford the other day, but I own two adapters. Since they didn't say which one they were talking about, and I got both of them within a week of each other somewhere in the June-July timeframe, I can only hope they will identify which one of these they are interested in me...
