There's another thread recently- Someone simply swapped out their sr battery for an extended range. Simple swap and everything worked without reprogramming, pretty encouraging us SR guys.
Normal. Slow down to 62 and you'll get much better kWh/mi
The truck is a flat out energy hog at interstate speeds, low temp or not. The temp and headwind simply exacerbated the low efficiency at that speed.
It's a bit premature to link this to your shift issue. What you're experiencing with range estimates are more likely related to recent driving habits and temperature.
I agree, this shouldn't be a wait around for an update.
Have you tried deleting the location and re-entering your home? Deleting all data, deleting your account, and re-establishing it?
Good luck!
That's very disappointing. At least it's under warranty. It sounds like you'll need a loaner- there's a lot to sort out.
Please post an update when u take it in.
They were down for a week or two, I made an appointment with Ford. They started working again the day before I brought it in, and have been working ever since. I cancelled the appointment.
It's still in the back of my head they'll decide to stop someday.
Please let me know if you take it in...
I thought it was canceled?
At any rate, unless you're road tripping, it doesn't fit my use. I'd rather not have twice the things to possibly break, one mode of propulsion is enough. To each his own.
Full disclosure: when I first saw this thread, I thought everybody was nuts.
Then I received a phantom update, and it definitely accelerates differently post update.
Just returned from France, it was nice to see so many ev's, quite a few brands not available here in the US. Took an uber in a nice BYD. Suprised at the number of Tesla's. Europe seems better suited for EV's than the USA, I suspect our commutes are simply longer (anectdotal).
So much of the...
Is there a reason you're limiting it to 12v dc amplifiers? With the amount of available ac, you can go a different route and get substantially more power
Mine did that for a month or two, then I replaced the 12v battery, and it's never done it since. Ford replaced it under warranty, but were sure to let me know "the battery tested fine" before they replaced it. I don't think their battery tester is that great.
I Love that plug-n-charge works. But since it removes any membership discounts, switching back and forth between plug-n-charge at stations I'm not a member vs stations I have a membership removes any of the convenience. I don't use plug-n-charge for that reason.
Wow.
My stock Michelin's have 40,000 miles on them, and appear to have ~50% left on tread. They seem about on par with the Michelin defenders I have on my F250. Currently 65,000 miles on them, and plenty of life left. I worry more about dry rot at this point than tread. I'd sell my truck if I...
I have no more information than you. But Brian's reply in the other thread is very telling, imo.
"Right now, we’re focused on producing F-150 ICE and Hybrid as we recover from the fire at Novelis. We will bring Rouge Electric Vehicle Center back up at the right time, but don’t have an exact...
These rumors weren't generated out of thin air.
The lightings future is currently in serious jeopardy.
Edit: current stock price 13.22 (after hours Friday) will be interesting to see the markets reaction once this is digested
Costs aside, I love that Ford is so confident in their battery to actually recommend using it as an energy storage device for your home on a regular basis! This bodes well for those who wish to keep their trucks a long, long time imo.
