Itās a podcast this is not my company or product we support them and think itās a cool design implementation I make zero affiliate money from any sales of the solar cover or battery. I like that that are aligned with us on American manufacturing and American jobs with sustainability
Half that cost is what youād pay for a cover anyway so itās exaggerated to say $2k for 600w and itās 5kwh a day and thatās day one starting price Iām sure as it scales it will come down. Seems a bit harsh to me everyone is entitled to their opinion Iām just sharing something we thought was cool...
To be clear itās not my company we just do the podcast and had them on. With that said if you watch, 90% is made in the US right down to the aluminum from MI, paint in TN, stamping and manufacturing in NY for the Tonneau and MO for the new Solar cover products. The flexible panels themselves...
Itās definitely not that although we do discuss it some. Martin from Martin Rebuilds who is also part of our podcast has been doing that with a gas generator and his Everdrive system
I think this is a more elegant package than others, itās made in America which I appreciate, I can be integrated in to an existing system or battery so I like they didnāt try and do something other than industry standard and like so many things with an EV or Solar the price starts high and often...
They make everything for the cover themselves. They already make the AL3 and AL4 folding covers in NY using aluminum from MI. The solar facility is making those covers in MO using flexible panels that come from a manufacturer in India. They arent using anyoneās else covers though or they arenāt...
I havenāt see anyone package this solution this well. Itās giving 5-6 kWh of power which is a lot for a job site camp site or existing system using the standard MC4 connectors. I like what they did and itās something you can expand to your needs. If you were camping for a week thatās 35+ kWh of...
The price is $2000 which the normal cover itself is half that and itās works with an existing battery or system like on an RV or trailer that has the MC4 connector inputs. Anytime something is new itās the most costly. I donāt feel we are intentionally cheesy we are genuine in what we say and...
Yeah or to not drain your battery as much at a site or add to an RV or trailer array that has the standard MC4 connector inputs. Just a cool use of the space
This is exactly what itās for and it uses the standard MC4 connector so you can feed power to an existing battery system or add theirs. Itās a interesting use of the unused space on the cover
Woah settle down Billy nobody said youād charge your battery with it. You obviously didnāt watch the podcast. Getting a little in your feelings there yelling about apples as we talk about oranges. Goodness man hope your day gets better lol
Yeah that makes sense. They have it rated at 600w and on the podcast said they were getting as much as 800w peak. I donāt have any illusion it would be used to charge the truck itās more of a complimentary system and fun use of dead space on the truck that I like the concept of.
Today on the Turn Down for Watt Podcast, we talk with Steven Rossi, CEO of Worksport about their new Solis + COR platform, which brings real, usable solar power to your truck. This isnāt hype, itās real engineering, manufacturing, and innovation happening here in the USA, creating new...

In a first for me, this NACS to CCS adapter OVERHEATED during testing. Potential design flaw or thermal error? š„ š± Watch the full breakdown and share your thoughts! š
I just connected my old android phone and youāre right you canāt expand the app screen to a full screen only the navigation. it looks like Google doesnāt allow for anything different unfortunately.
