Thanks all...
I've tried most, and I'm not a shmo....I can figure stuff out usually..
Can you elaborate, or something on:
"check the clearance of the nylon clip on the pin to the bracket tab. If it’s too tight, you have to bend the bracket tab slightly."
TIA
This is one incident. Hardly an "issue" at hand, and your conjecture. I was in Palm Desert, CA on July 5th, last week. 124 degrees ambient temp before sun. No screen or camera problems.
I'm curious where your Tesla adapters are at as far as order numbers that have been shipped/received. I'm Order 10,098 and was expected in June, but now pushed to July. I have a road trip planned for Aug, and my fingers are crossed.
If you've received yours, can you tell me your order #...
123 per the temp at the bottom of the instrument cluster there...
I was in Palm Desert last weekend with mine, and a purported 124 degrees outside. I did see my temp gauge above middle, like his, but never went outside of that. To me, it noted that is warm, and, I figure cooling in process to...
Except good luck finding another charger that'll pump out 80A. That's how this is unique, and comes (came) free with ER batteries. This is a clear case of bad user error, and not common.
I've wondered about this exact thing though. Not that I'm looking to increase my range, per se. But my truck sits in the CA sun all day. It's reasonable to think it could add something, daily. Definitely over the lifetime. Some % a day, of free sun power.
Then again the ROI is not feasible.
I'm in Los Angeles, so not sure if you want the bodyshop name... But it was Scandinavian Coachworks. on Colby, near Olympic, west LA. Talk to Alex.
ANy bodyshop worth a crap probably can pull it off.
Price was not cheap, as I have a 3 step paint, and I also had a bumper done. $1200, but...
