There is only one in the lead there, and they only are a couple years away from being true fully autonomous. The only other one close might be Waymo, but can all of that technology ever be retrofitted and installed into an every day car sold off the lot?
Just where do we not have enough power for EV charging stations? I don't have any numbers, but my gut says just one of the many many huge data centers built these days will consume more power than all of the charging stations US wide in a day. If there is any kind of power shortage it has...
It's taken this decision for you to realize that. Ford hasn't done anything innovative in years. Lord help them if the ICE truck ever starts to stumble.
I've had a long day and just got caught up on this news and looked at my stock holdings. Was this also what gave TSLA another $16 jump today - they may have just hit a new all time high. I don't own any Ford, but I'm sure theirs took the same jump after a $19.5 B write off.
It's all just a big experiment by Ford that failed. They had a plan to do it right, but needed to be first to market when Tesla announced the Cybertruck. They cobbled this truck together with many part from ICE. They teamed up with a sub par battery manufacture, they took 8 to 10 year old...
I'll offer you $25 a piece now for them. I'll probably need the extra battery modules, and I can only imagine the price from Ford if they are available at all. I'm wondering how long these things (battery modules) will store on a shelf and how many they get built to supply us all with over...
We paid for a month of FSD on our Y. Is crazy good and amazing. I don't want to derail this thread - it deserves sharing and further discussion however, even at FSD version 12 in a '23 Y with HW3.
My concern is still the true longevity of the Trucks batteries, the module failures, the...
Thanks for the reply, and I don't disagree, I just think because Ford and GM didn't know what they were doing, don't know what many of today's consumers want, how they want to remain stuck in their legacy ways, and the fact that maybe they are diversified, they've given EV's a really bad rap to...
BTW - welcome to the forum. Quite a few DFW members here on the forum. We had a get together last year and several met up at the EV event in Arlington last month. Look for us around.
I"m very impressed with the Glare Free lights. Great on interstates. It's easy to see the lights change patterns. They are very good at what they do.
A side note, Tesla has upped the game a notch. We took the Y for Thanksgiving - 400 mile round trip, mostly Interstate. Tesla enabled...
Thank you for sharing, this is how you can share and add value to the forum. I know corporate communications are tough and I'm sure they note you can't share some things, but providing a bit of insight or that a change is coming that causes frustration for your owners, goes a long way for PR.
Having this download will let you verify any setting and is good to have on hand. To make it easy, always backup every module through Forscan (part of the procedures noted in the first few posts) before making any changes. That makes an easy restore point for every module you touch and you...
My theory is if a tonneau cover made that big a difference Ford would be installing them on every truck. I would think they could claim it improves their CAFE numbers - or whatever numbers they try to hit. In the massive numbers they buy/sell they'd get them for $$200 each and add $800 to...
The $4/month is as cheap as it gets. I got the offer and at one time said I would sign up again for that price, but I signed up for Apple Music for the higher bit rates, so no need for it at all now, especially with the quality.
The Bosch Icons come heavily recommended in past threads. Don't pay full price, they go on sale quite often on Amazon. I paid $38 two years ago, they've been in the garage until last week, just put them on.
I prefer those $8 to $10 wipers, if the Bosch doesn't really outperform in some way...
Good information here, I decided at 3.5 years it was time to replace. I've had too many power off situations, etc. I priced all the locals that that have an H3 replacement and nothing under $200. Loved finding the Rockauto price shared here and had it in the cart ready to go when I decided...
Which battery did you get at Costco? The one nearest me carries Interstate batteries and they can't find a cross reference and the Lightning isn't listed in their system.. I just looked through the Interstate web site and they have an H3, but well over $200.
