I don't have any power-draining devices attached, and I am getting the the cluster chimes fairly frequently (but not every time). I have had the truck at the dealer recently for connectvity issues and they have confirmed the LVB is fine.
My truck does this sometimes as well. I read somewhere that it has to do with the audio drivers in the computer. If they don't initialize right away like they're supposed to, the chimes come out as "beeps" from the instrument cluster instead of nice chimes from the audio system.
The slowness...
I have heard of pulling the negative cable off the 12v battery to resolve issues, but not until now did I see the recommendation to leave it disconnected for 10-20 minutes. I have only tried 2 minutes. Could this be why I'm not seeing results?
While driving just now I had the app open on my phone, with Bluetooth disabled, and the SoC and range were updating in realtime with the truck. Seemed like everything was working. Then a little later while at home I tried to use the app to do a remote start, and no dice.
It's like connected...
I don't have them ALL turned on, but I think all the necessary ones are on, and I certainly haven't changed any. But please let me know if you think otherwise or if you have any other troubleshooting ideas.
Not sure if my problem is the same, but over the past few days I have not been able to do a remote start, nor see an updated vehicle status with SoC. I have tried disconnecting LVB several times, and I do see the up/down arrow icon on my screen, but it's still not working. Does anyone know if...
THIS... has been my experience. Ford's mobile charger would not work for more than a couple minutes in the cold. Tried my Rivian mobile connector and it worked fine, but was painfully slow (of course).
The simplest solution seems to be a dynamic SoC estimate at your destination, which some folks are already seeing in Google Maps after a recent update. Then adjust your driving to keep that number where you want it.
All I really meant was that when it's raining you get reduced efficiency (all other things being equal). But I can appreciate the scientific exhibition!
