Can someone measure the height from the top of their hitch receiver to the ground so I can determine the drop I need? I'm looking to order a drop hitch for my 4X2 Lariat PowerBoost for initial/temporary use until I get a WDH set-up from the RV shop.
If this has been posted somewhere before I...
thx I use that site as well...that’s where I came up with the alternate 275-285/60/18 size...I think I’m leaning toward the 275/65/18 size...that definitely takes up more wheel well...but I’m sure I can go bigger but will probably stay a bit conservative
Point taken...good perspective. I got the nittos on my wrangler...look great and aggressive. I’m a fan of continental...I’ll check them out. You think I should stick with the oem size of 265/60/18 or go with the 275/65/18?
My 4x2 Lariat Sport will come with 265/60/18 BSW All-Seasons....im thinking of changing tires. Have 2 thoughts:
1) Go with similar 18" AT tire size 275/65/18 that comes on the 4x4...Nitto Grappler or similar OEM Good Year model (more aggressive look)
2) Go with a little wider AS tire...
Ok that makes more sense...stickers remain for conventional trailer and harness/sensor is for 5th Wheel/Gooseneck. Surprised that the sticker config is not already good to go since I assume it's the same technology from 2020. That is one of the top few reasons for me getting my 1st ever F-150...
Subscribed to the thread. So is it safe to assume if you have tow tech, tow pack w/360 or Max tow w/360 that you get this harness and sensor set-up versus the old sticker method.
Good info..interesting about the front vs rear capability...something to think about. I think I'm leaning toward a WDH+Sway for at least longer trips. Several good brands to choose from.
THanks - just went through it. And so for what is documented on there my equation looks roughly like...
2090# minus (pro power7.2kw (TBD), power tailgate/step (40#), trailer tow package(11#), non-power running boards (40#), tow mirrors (21#).
Probably another 20# for all the little stuff...
Thanks for posting the pics. My tongue weight is around 430# so I wonder without the WDH if it will sag and cause any lift in the front end based on the 500 Max Tongue weight label . On the X5 there is definitely sag and the front end is raised up a little. If it sags on the F150 the WDH can...
Have a 16ft Airstream with a GVWR of 3500lbs. Currently tow with an X5 that gets the job done for short trips/destinations. Longer duration and distance destinations require more gear and supplies for me, the wife and the one youngster...there's no payload left in the X5 after tongue weight...
After a few threads of payload stickers and comments can I deduce that my order of a Lariat 501A PB 4X2 with power tailgate, and trailer tow (not max tow), will have a payload around 1600-1700#'s. Could it be any higher?
