  1. Starlink Mini, Does it FIT under the sunroof privacy shade?

Just picked up a Starlink mini to install on my sunroof. Anyone know if it fits under the sunroof shade? Any install picks? Edit: I realized this was a stupid question.... If fits... until you open the sunroof, then it's in the way.
  2. 2024 Lariat to 2022 Platinum? Madness or no?

FYI You have a 8 year warranty on the battery (10 years in California)
  3. 2024 Lariat to 2022 Platinum? Madness or no?

Home-Link is an easy add-on for $100. The Audio System can be upgraded for a few hundred dollars depending on how far you want to go. The Massagers in the seats I thought were horrible, in the truck I drove the rollers just STOP when they are turned off. You could have leather seats installed...
  4. TRAILER RANGE, not even close.

I did put in the numbers... I didn't put a sticker on it and go through the trailer pro learning however. I did this with my little trailer and OMG that was a chore. I pulled into a HUGE parking lot and I think I drove every inch of it. I do love the find the hitch feature.
  5. TRAILER RANGE, not even close.

Took my RMAX out for a ride yesterday. (Maybe 3000 lbs). Range drops drastically.... I was getting 1.6 miles per KW with 70 mile range being shown. My girl says, wow that's it? To which I said it's not accurate at all. @ 1.6 x 90% would have been 185 miles. So she says you have to do the math...
  6. Lightning vs Rivian - new truck buyer…

Nothing you will find will match the space the F150 offers. I am 6-2 and with my seat all the way back (though I wish it went lower) I can fit real adults in every seat. If the Cybertruck had rear leg room I might have went that direction (I had one for a weekend). The F150 has a very soft ride...

  8. Congress proposes shocking new fee on EVs

I just bought my Lightning... YES $970 + $200 for personal plates. In Oregon $316 if the vehicle is all electric. The higher your MPG is the MORE you pay. My $970 Is for 4 years and does include Title and plate fee. The $316 is every 2 years. The County I live in also add's $112 every 2 years.
  9. Congress proposes shocking new fee on EVs

    Agreed! Oregon $970
  10. Discount Tires fails again.... I shouldn't be surpised, Installed the wrong TPMS sensors.

Went back to Discount Tire this morning and after another TPMS swap to the correct 433 Mhz sensors, they gave up and gave my $269 back for the price of the sensors. What they sell isn't compatible with my Ford. My Ford doesn't see the sensors, not does my TPMS scanner. So I have ordered a set of...
  11. Discount Tires fails again.... I shouldn't be surpised, Installed the wrong TPMS sensors.

The LT tire shown above is 54.48 lbs (vs 47.22 for the 20') but if you did the XL spec tire (Not the LT) it drops to 43.41 lbs. I went with the same size as I didn't want to redo the speedo. The stock tire is rght at 33" and you'd have to go up to a 285 to get close to that (slightly under...
  12. Discount Tires fails again.... I shouldn't be surpised, Installed the wrong TPMS sensors.

Going in Wednesday to get them changed out. I asked the question, since you have both sets of tires, why don't your techs scan the old tires to make sure they are the correct ones? The response was their scanners don't do that (WHAT?) I'm not in the tire business and my $200 Autel scanner...
  13. Discount Tires fails again.... I shouldn't be surpised, Installed the wrong TPMS sensors.

I didn't want to seperate them in case I want to use them as a set in the future.
  14. Discount Tires fails again.... I shouldn't be surpised, Installed the wrong TPMS sensors.

First the good news... Set of ION 143 20x9 on a set of Ridge Grapplers (Stock size). I wanted +18 offset but after they couldn't find a set decided to try to zero offset. As you all may know the stock rims where +45 Offset on 20x8.5 rims weighing 37 lbs. Wrapped in a set of Goodyear Wrangler...
  15. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

This would require enforcement, which is non-existent. I'm not suggesting that the system be removed or silenced, just altered in the sounds that it originally had. There is a whole topic on this here...
  16. Hacking the Pedistrian Warning System Sounds

I'm no lawyer, but I do believe this is where Tesla said a few years back... the Federal mandate says it needs to make noise, they didn't say what noise and thus allowed us all to change to anything we wanted (ice cream truck, running horses, applause, etc). Until there were complaints and or as...
  17. Stereo Upgrade - On a brand new truck... who does that?

Night and Day difference. Worth the couple hundred bucks. though I still have the tweeters to replace.
