That was a great video- thanks! Did you have any areas of soft sand? Most of that beach looked really packed hard compared to the sand I normally drive in. Did you lower the tire pressure at all?
Hey, I just want my frunk to open and close properly each time I press the keyfob. Really that is not too much to ask. Just had the truck for 11 days and already the frunk not following my keyfob or button inside the cab commands is not proper. kind of a funny typo: "it’s as though the...
I read on this forum that the frunk would not operate properly if it was touched while raising or lowering. On my hatchback car, I often leave the hatchback open for a long time, I've never had any time where the button or keyfob did not close it. This is nothing like trying to lock with...
Thanks for letting me know- I saw this as the latest frunk failure thread. I'm not sure that the "forgetting the frunk location" is not also a failure- this is not rocket science to determine whether the frunk is open or closed!
Just had my First Frunk Failure (FFF)! My XLT SR was in the garage so not a water issue- just left the frunk open for two days as there is a really strong plastic odor in the frunk- tried to close it from the cab, keyfob, and the button- nothing would make it go down. So I then manually...
One highway trip and several demonstration rides for my friends- they like the acceleration! My "Trip 1" shows my total for the truck so far- just had it for 10 days. 2.7 miles per kWh for my XLT SR so far, I get 3.2 miles per kWh on 30-40mph trips around town.
I cut 11" from my 2016 bed mat and it is now in my 2022 Lightning and it fits nicely. Actually this mat was from my 2010 F150- nice heavy rubber mat and the bed underneath looked brand new when I removed it from my 2016.
Getting my Century (made by Leer) cap installed this Friday. I'll post photos. The installer said that there have only been three installed in the US by Century so far- he was a little unsure about wiring the brake light in the cap. I was looking on here for information but didn't find any.
Exactly right on the charging peak vs. the actual curve. One reason I bought the Ioniq 5 was the fast charging, but over 6500 miles I fast charged just once! I did get 149kW on the EA 150kW charger, and went from 50 to 80% in 7 minutes. Then it slowed down and another 7 minutes to 90%...
I cancelled my CT order when they didn't make any for three years. So glad to have my Lightning XLT now and never have to visit a gas station again. CT might be nice someday but this is my fourth F150 and it handles and drives even better than the first three. No way I want to look off to...
I have the wall mount classic. It hangs on the wall but is connected to the outlet with a plug- I used a NEMA 14-30 plug for my 30A outlet that was in place- I had to buy a short cable with a NEMA 14-30 plug as the Grizzl-E comes with a NEMA 14-50 plug. Easy to detach from the wall with a...
I suppose that could be true, hard to say with the Ford marketing department, my SR XLT is supposed to arrive by August 18th- glad to get that at MSRP of $52K
Be careful buying any unit that has no electrical safety rating. Look for ETL or UL or CSA in Canada. Grizzl-E allows setting the charge limit- I use mine on a 30A outlet with the charge limit set to 24 amps.
Big mistake with the XLT Extended range- over $80K so not eligible for the $7500 rebate- I hope that Ford will change that, otherwise the extended range battery is an even bigger cost.
If you have more room it's probably best to keep your old 250W panels for a while. Probably not much market for them and if they are still working then just add some 330 or even 365 watt panels. You could run your new panels with micro-inverters if they don't match up with your existing...
My Ioniq 5 is the SEL AWD with 19" wheels. Build date is 7-18-22 for my XLT SR so should have some real numbers to compare soon. How long did it take you to get your Lightning after the build date?
Do you charge to 80% on your Ioniq 5? Mine shows 270 miles at 80% based on our normal driving which is mixed highway and in town - all less than 55 mph. I suspect my Lightning will beat the EPA on my normal routes- my lifetime average for F150 2.7L Ecoboost is 23.1 mpg
