Easy answer:
ER battery
Cloth seats
work station
running boards
9.6 power outlets
80 amp charger
20 inch wheels/upgraded tires
I could care less about the cameras and driver assist gimmicks and I happen to dislike the huge screens in all EVs so the XLT lets me get what I want and keep the...
Nope, chargers are NOT proprietary. You can pull up to any public station or purchase any US charger, L2 or L3. The charge station cord communicates with the EV. Once the communication confirms that the cord is properly locked into the receptacle on your truck, it charges at the rate the truck...
To answer your question about 48 amp chargers, they run about $650 for the Juicebox. There are also several 40 amp models. Also look into the portable ones like Clipper Creek offers.
99% of the time your truck will be parked for 10 hours. Size your charger accordingly.
Very confusing SGT. You say they can sell every truck they can build and yet you say they underestimated the market? Any business that can sell out 3 years in advance is in a very good spot. Ford is building a 6 square mile battery plant. SIX SQUARE MILES.
And gorwell is even more confusing...
Get a hybrid F150 that is currently available? It might be the best compromise for you. A generator in the bed is the worse possible solution as others have said. You are a perfect candidate for the ER battery or a hybrid truck.
GM releasing a 400 mile truck is in conflict with the Pro customer. It will be much more expensive to get 400 miles of range that the price of a Pro. I can see a few high end buyers defecting. I would likely look close at the hummer if it was out.
Look at the Roadie. Our company is looking for fleet solutions so I scheduled a Zoom call with them. They told me they sell a lot of roadies to people who toss it in the trunk just in case. $12,000 for a level 1 system isn't terrible.

You nailed it. I am leaning toward the JuiceBox 48 because it also talks to Alexa. I have over 30 Alexa devices in my automated home o_O so why not one more? I will use my 80 at my cabin or sell it.
I'll throw out a way to do it for free. Place a second order now with your local dealer and put up $100. Then, call the Ford 800 number and switch the new reservation to a different dealer. Done.
Your original $100 is refunded by the first dealer, and it isn't likely that the second dealer will...
And just like the Bronco, allocations will be spread across all dealers. It got really ugly with Bronco reservations. The best plan is to not be hung up on when you get yours. I would rather pay MSRP at my local dealer than spend $1000 to travel to the Midwest to save $1000.
The range of an ICE F150 is approx 400 miles. Where you are going that is 200 miles from the last gas station? I can't fathom going 400 miles, 200 miles each way, from the nearest gas station. I'm not even sure such a place exists in the US except in Alaska.
Care to share your road trip plans...
You might want to look at the fuel consumption of that generator. It will run out of gas every 4 hours. They are never rated for 100% duty so you cannot run it overnight while pulling full amps out of it.
A hybrid F150 is a better tool for the job if you have range anxiety.
The Tesla system includes a heater for the battery pack to raise the temp of the coolant that circulates thru the pack. Maybe Ford has thought through cold weather driving...
Contact Eric at Kearney Mesa. I had a Bronco order with him. I finally gave up on the Bronco due to the long delays. The Lightning suits me better than the Bronco anyway.
