Just to advise that this requires a few other components to work. It is not a stand alone product. It is an amazing system though. I am reinstalling the extra electrical this week and should have the V2X module within about 3 weeks.

The Sigenergy system does exactly what you want to do from a TOU case with home batteries. For the truck you can use their generator inlet and pro-power onboard in an off-grid condition. On grid they have a V2X module that works like the Home Integration System.

The Ford HIS system is $3800, and the charger is about $1400. The HIS includes a solar/battery hybrid inverter (as well as the input from the truck). It also includes a 200A automatic transfer switch. It is actually quite a similar price to other systems that are out there such as EG4...

I can’t speak to it personally because mine never quite worked but there are others who have it working. The m-professional app does have time of use and other modes for the battery including self consumption.

So have you lost $8k or do you get a discount on your reserved vehicle?

The problem is that it is Sunrun, not Ford, that is really in charge of this system. That gets complicated if you didn’t use them for the install. Ford will definitely try and help but their hands are somewhat tied it seems.

The Sigenergy V2X is what the Ford HIS could/should have been.

On the market there is only Sigenergy. Enphase and others are perpetually coming soon.

I have had intermittent issues with my modem for 2 years now. One drive it works, and the next it won't. It has no particular pattern. If I fully reset it, then it might go a week or so before becoming bad again. Welcome to the club.

A ground is not needed for the serial communication. I just use 2 wires twisted together using a drill for the communications which has been flawless on my system. The EN and GRD for the lg battery is a 12v signal and has nothing to do directly with the RS485. They just happen to use the same...

Yes I can turn on or off the feature, and also toggle the horn (which went off just walking around the front of the truck to get something from the passenger side). I have since turned the horn back off.
