With Ford OEM shocks, that's not my experience. Our two Fusion Energi cars had shocks that were completely worn out at about 30 - 35 thousand miles, both cars (2013 and 2015 models). My Lightning had a visibly leaking front shock by about 65 thousand miles, and when I then replaced all four...
We reused the OEM rubber pleated covers. Ditto for the OEM springs and spring tophats.
Note: whether You choose to do this Yourself (not that hard actually) or have a shop do it, Ford instructions indicate the OEM bolts for the bottom of the front and the rear shock need to be thrown away and...
AFAIK yes they are the only ones.
I kept my Eibachs at the stock height, front and rear (lowest ring position). It also completely eliminated the Buick movement. Several thousand miles on them now, with and without towing... worth the $$$ and the work. Plus, they are likely to last much...
Invest the $$$ and put on Winter tires. Snow or no snow, when it's really cold the rubber in true Winter tires will mitigate or completely stop sliding, even when the road surface is absolutely clear of snow, while all-season tires have rubber which hardens in true cold and which WILL cause...
FYI from personal experience (on Bonneville Salt Flats last Summer): the Extended Range version, which has more power, will max out at 107 mph indicated.
Hmmm... as posted by me previously, I (so far) have had great service from the OHMMU battery, in pretty harsh Canadian Maritime weather and Newfoundland Winter weather.
My OEM battery was bulging, so I had to get "something" before the Canadian trip.
I hope that either Your case is an outlier...
So as per my previous post here I took a good look this past Fall at my 12V battery, noticed it had bulging sides, ordered an OHMMU sodium 12V battery (only choice then available) and popped it in in late November or early December 2025.
I also mounted the optional OHMMU 12V battery monitor...
...and I thank the stars every month that, the way I use the truck, I just lucked into a leftover 2023 ER back in 2024 when I beat my Mach E to death and traded it it. Got the truck and I then found out about the dual onboard chargers... and it took me another 5 months to get and then mount my...
...and it is very easy to reengage the cabin preheat from the app, should the set cabin preheat be set for earlier than You actually get to use the truck. It's on the front webpage of the FordPass app.
We just came back from a trip to Newfoundland Canada and we used this function often... we...
I chose the shock set listed for the Lightning. Eibach lists only one set.
Yes, I simply replaced every OEM shock with its equivalent Eibach shock. All four mount inside the OEM springs.
I put the Eibach shocks on at about 81 thousand miles. All my OEM shocks were already garbage.
I kept the OEM springs and left the Eibachs at their lowest adjustable perch, to keep the OEM stance of the Lightning.
This solved everything that was imperfect with the suspension.
NOTE: the...
I just spent some time in Europe this November, and in between other business I actually visited a Ford dealership which had an imported F150 on the lot.
I am a big fan of rear fog lights ever since my 1991 BMW (US spec) for which this was an option. I added them later to my Ford Fusion /...
