  1. Found my 'Avalanche' XLT; Storm

Congrats! I would’ve left the Volt! But then you might not have gone back to get itšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚
  2. Ford's Solution for keep building the Lightning

I tried to look them up when I first heard about this a day or two ago and I do not believe they are publicly traded, at least not here! There is no investor relations section or anything to do with investors on their website. I own many stocks, but I watch many many many stocks!
  3. Chinese EV owners aren’t range obsessed.

I think the reason they don’t have anxiety is they probably have much better charging networks which includes not only more locations, but higher charging rates and vehicles that charge at higher rates! If we had 800 V architecture, I assume that would cut our charging rate in half or maybe a...
  4. Ford's Solution for keep building the Lightning

I sincerely hope this is true! Of course I have doubts, but technology is changing very rapidly right before our eyes! This seems to be Mooreā€˜s law playing out in all kinds of technology!šŸ¤žšŸ¼
  5. 12V battery failure while driving 45mph: Fix post #58

I would not use that dealer again and I would blast them everywhere possible that is absolutely ridiculous!
  6. Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving Technology to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck. New AI Assistant launches early 2026

I understand the reason to have doubts, but what they are doing kind of makes sense they want to make a profit. They learned a ton by creating the Mach E, Lightning and transit. I think Farley realized that moving forward they better have a better strategy to compete with the Chinese which he...
  7. Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving Technology to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck. New AI Assistant launches early 2026

Am I in an alternate universe? One minute it feels like Ford is moving backwards in the next minute it feels like they’re moving two steps ahead. Am I in the matrix? Was I just returned from an alien abduction? WTF is going onšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚
  8. In Production Solid State Battery Tech? Potential for Aftermarket Lightning Pack upgrades?!

    Someone’s blood is pumpingšŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚
  9. New Tires - Are the best tires the Continental TerrainContact A/T or something else?

Similar experience to the post above with the continentals on a Ford Expedition EL… don’t know that I would try them again. Had the Michelinā€˜s on my last expedition and they seemed good but felt a little hard IMHO. Just put the Hankook IONs on the lightning and I’m very pleased so far.. They...
  10. Unable to Set Charge Limit

Any and all information you can share would be helpful to help solve your problem… but no guarantees. I think I remember having a similar issue at some point, but it was a long time ago and I don’t remember how it was resolved. It may have been after an update as well but rebooting the system...
  11. Stuff I wished that I had known BEFORE I bought

I spoke to some of the Ford people at the Electrify Expo in Dallas and some of them were on the HIS side of things they wouldn’t (or couldn’t )say much, but from what I could glean from what they did say was that the existing system is what it is. There may be something (better?)coming with the...
  12. Stuff I wished that I had known BEFORE I bought

I looked into Base energy, but it wasn’t that great of a deal since I have solar. I think at the time they would buy it for me for three cents and sell it back to me for nine cents or something along those lines. I know that changed some things, but I haven’t looked back into it.
  13. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

Yeah, I know about hail I live in the metroplex too! Pics from the 2016 storm we had! Within 24 hours I was going to install additional panels as well as the power walls, but it didn’t work out with my previous solar company, but I saved about four grand through Tesla plus the tax credit! So...
  14. Stuff I wished that I had known BEFORE I bought

Only thing I would add is on number two: Correct you don’t have 80 amp charging but it doesn’t really matter for DCFC. It should be plenty to charge overnight unless you’re driving close to 300 miles every day.
  15. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

That stinks! I had another company do my solar install, but just added more powerwalls (expansion packs)through Tesla I did add the rider on my insurance. Hopefully, I won’t have to use it.šŸ¤žšŸ¼
  16. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

I did not do it myself. I had a solar contractor do it, but I have some panels on my roof and some on a ā€œpergolaā€œ ground mount.
  17. Taxman's Lightning Chronology

$1108 increase in maintenance! Tires? Not sure if solar would be feasible for you, but I would definitely look into it with those electric rates! ROI would be massive.
  18. High public charger pricing - war on EVs?

That would be less US dollar is higher than Canadian dollar.
  19. High public charger pricing - war on EVs?

Many places they have installed their own! https://www.bing.com/search?q=Walmart+EV+charging&form=APIPH1&PC=APPL
  20. High public charger pricing - war on EVs?

Yeah, y’all have much better pricing up north of the border it seems!
