There's a water drain path that runs behind the grill, which is how the water gets into the lights in the Frunk. That same path runs close to the back of the Frunk button, and if not sealed properly, and the water doesn't drain completely, can cause corrosion on the button and stop it from...
There's a few threads on this if you search. Bad seal on the lights, I had mine replaced. Make sure they check the frunk switch also, because that same water that gets in the lights can corrode the frunk switch if it's not draining out.
I'm at 40k miles on my Hankook's in a little over 2 years. The outer edges have been worn since 25k miles, but the center tread has been fine. All 4 tires have worn the exact same way, so either the trucks are shipped with goofy camber, or the tires just wear that way. I figure I'll be getting...
So just from a planning perspective I agree completely. ABRP seems to give you a time of about 10% less than what Google Maps gives you, and Google Maps is usually spot on as you said. Maybe it'll get more accurate in time, but for now I'll use the Google time if I need to be somewhere on time.
That's pretty low. I'm at lifetime 2.2 m/kwh after 2 years of driving and 40,000. I'll see 1.4 if I'm doing 80 mph into a headwind, but that's not normal. It starts dropping a lot at speeds over 70 mph. Keep the tires inflated and speed down, and keep your climate control in check. 1.4...
Where are you in PA? I know the center of the state use to be bad, but I feel with the Tesla access now most issues have gone away. What's your mi/kw when towing? Just surprised this is necessary, at least in my experience.
I can confirm this works. I had a 6 foot cable made where the ground isn't connected and it works now with my old transfer switch. I lost power this weekend and was able to confirm operation, as before I would get the ground fault on the truck.
2 years, 37,000 miles and just went through inspection. All 4 corners were at 8mm. In PA with lots of salt and cinders on the road all winter. Agree with a lot of people on here that something doesn't sound right.
Funny, I don't doubt your personal experience, but in PA during the winter they brine and salt the hell out of our roads (I would think Michigan would be the same). If my truck or my wife's mach-e sits for a few days, the brakes will grind at the end as you stop normally. I've used the Neutral...
I just had my truck in for inspection. After 2 years, I'm at 37,000 miles and still have 8mm left. New brake pads start at between 10-12mm, so we have a long time if you replace at 3-4mm.
The last number of your door code is the 7-8 button! You must have hit it an extra time because that will open the Frunk from the keypad if pressed within 5 seconds of entering your passcode.
I think it just depends on the age of your seal. My seal on the door was at least 15 years old, probably closer to 20. So it needed to be replaced. But if your seal is stuff puffy and not to flattened it would definitely work as you found out.
I have the Undor system too and it works great. The door seal was a pain in the butt, not the end of the world though. And I only have one side installed, with the new seal and adjusting the travel it seals up pretty well.
Hey Matt, thanks for the clarification. Your youtube video has no information on it about where it was filmed, and the reactions from the two in the truck were so animated, it did have the sense of a spoof! Even the way he swerved the steering wheel seemed a bit delayed and exaggerated. Glad...
Per the user manual, it says 'When the hood is closed, the frunk outlet power is limited.'
They don't give you the definition of 'limited' though. I think it's been assumed on the forum that it's to idiot proof the truck from someone putting a crockpot, hairdryer, or some other device that...
