More often than not a cracked rim is caused by an impact. I'm also pretty sure the dealership can point out some tire damage near the crack. Go over to the Corvette forum. There are regular posts about GM not paying for cracked Corvette rims.
To the OP you do realize you don't own a 14th gen...
Well, no Formula 400 ss in my future. Finally got on one and it just didn't wind my clock. But this one did - 390 Sundancer. Just waiting on a survey. And no, the F150 won't be able to pull it. ?
If I was financing, I'd just take care of it the week I'm picking up the vehicle. Especially for a Lightning. You could be waiting a year plus for it....
Bringing the back to the top.
Looking to see if anyone has one yet.
My dealer doesn't carry them and I want to read a review or two before I have them order one.
Yep, just pull the liner out and drill a few half inch holes in the front of it. Then reinstall. I suggest pulling it out so that you don't end up drilling into the actual bed of the truck.
It looks like the fold hasn't completely relaxed after being folded since it was produced and boxed.. There'll always be some deformation in that area because there's nothing solid in that area. No big deal.
You're going to need to look at the hideable tag mount that street rodders and performance cars have. I doubt they are made for pickups so you will need to do some fabrication.
Those w/d are never seen on boat trailers.
But.... You are really maxing out the little half ton with a 10,000 lb boat, plus fuel, plus gear, plus people. You can probably get away with it if you're staying in Florida but go to the launch ramps and check out the trucks pulling bigger...
I had a notice that the Ram I traded was below an 1/8 of a tank of gas a couple of weeks ago. I still had my Uconnect app on my phone. There is no easy way to delete a vehicle from it like Ford. So, I uninstalled the Uconnect app.
You'll want to get the filler between bed and tailgate to fold up not down. That way you won't create a bind because it's wadded up when the tailgate is closed.
Has anyone purchased one. It looks a lot like a Bedrug in black. I've had Bedrug full liners and xlt mats in previous trucks and stumbled across this one and I could use Fordpass points even though it's maybe 30ish dollars more than I could get a Bedrug xlt for.
Are there any owners on here?
I've towed with half, three quarter and one ton dually trucks. Yep the little half tons have big ratings but all that's all a marketing gimmick as far as I'm concerned. I'll take 8 lug wheels, bigger axles, bigger brakes, better suspension, longer standard wheelbase of the super dutys. The half...
This is all personal opinion.... I did have a class A CDL and drove over the road semis for a few years. But anyway, I would never drag TT's around with a half ton. They always are nose heavy and that gets the tail wagging the dog easy just like too little tongue weight. Actually, if I were to...
