My dealer just confirmed I'm in wave 3 as well. I reserved an XLT. She also told me she had 27 reservations moving on to orders from her dealership alone. Large dealership in Houston. She also said the emails may go out tomorrow.
So if the manufacturer has reached the 200,000 limit then any lightning being delivered this year will not be eligible for any tax credit. Is that right?
Can anybody give clarity on the tax credit for MY 23 wave 3 vehicles ordering this year and possibily being delivered this year? Prior to the effective date of the new law going into effect. Thank you
Wonder what the scenario would look like if you got the dealer to mark down the xlt extended range battery a 1000.00 to meet the under 80k tax break limit. Any other considerations needed?
From a consumer standpoint these price points are horrible. My two options on the XLT is the standard range @ 66,500 (including tax credit) or the extended range @ 85,659. That's a 19, 159 price difference.
back to my question. If those prices of an xlt extended range are accurate, doesn't that disqualify them for the tax credit? isn't that a poor pricing plan from ford? alot of people might downgrade to get the tax credit. that's about a &16k price difference downgrading to the standard range...
New Pricing for 2023 lightning on fords website build and price. Base price of XLT Extended Range is 80,974. Doesn't that disqualify all options but 2 (pro and XLT Standard Range) for the 7500 EV federal tax credit??
@joerepsol You are correct. That is not right. I inadvertantly put my information on the wrong tracking list. I have a reservation and reservation date only. I put the information on the other tracker when i noticed the error. Sorry
