UPDATE 12/14!! Well, tomorrow will begin month #2 without a truck. Playing phone tag with servicing dealer but to my knowledge the original truck is not fixed yet and we are not pursuing.
As for the replacement truck, according to Ford there were none on the east coast even though I could see...
Update! Won’t bore you wilt the lack of communication from servicing dealer and Ford. So the SOBDM that was supposed to be delivered on Saturday apparently didn’t come until Tuesday. Replacement began and continued til end of day Wednesday. Testing began on Wednesday. 3/4 of the day passes...
Update for 11/29....Servicing dealer has advised that the SOBDM is going to be replaced and the part will arrive on Saturday and be installed on Monday. The check out the truck to see if that solves the problem or anything else then pops up.
I understand they go through the Frunk to replace...
Another update!1
Getting close to throwing in the towel! So the vehicle started this AM and they took it out for a ride. Immediately started throwing errors so back into the shop. I am being told that the main culprit is code BECM-P0AA6- High Isolation Fault on High Voltage Side. They said...
UPDATE!!
The service manager has been in contact with Ford EV engineers. The engineer advise them to "reset" the BMS (Battery Monitor Sensor) and then recharge the new 12v battery. The vehicle now starts when requested. The Ford engineer advised to try and re-create the situation and if it...
Was certainly one of our concerns and we asked the dealership to make sure they stayed below certain speed, try not to follow closely behind trucks that could throw stones, etc but that doesn't mean they did so. The driver was retired. We hemmed and hawed about picking it up ourselves. Would...
Gary is right. The situation is really specific to the person/family. But I'll throw my 2 cents in. We got started with the Mach-e as a need for a car at the wrong time (COVID) and finally settled on a 21 Mach-e Select Standard Battery that we got for sticker when most dealers were marking...
Checked with them this AM. They have the truck but their 2 EV techs were working on existing projects. They were hoping to get to it by end of day or Monday.
Believe me...I keep going back and forth on this. Meanwhile they have my down payment and first month payment and no vehicle . The dealer does have a similar vehicle on the lot. Just needs a spray in bed liner.
Tow truck driver finally picked up the truck and it is on the way to local dealer (flatbed just barely long enough to fit the truck). Followed the methods above to get into Tow mode. First couple of times was able to just use the screen. And then had to use the brake and gas pedal method...
Had a Mach-e for 3 plus years and I remember posts saying to carry one as insurance. Never needed one. Will pick one up but since it is in my driveway, I can connect a 120v charger to it for the same effect. I have a Juicebox but the driver did not park it close enough for the cable to reach.
Vehicle just delivered from dealership so haven’t even added vehicle to FordPass app yet. And I don’t believe Flash supports PAAK. One or both keys were in possession inside of vehicle when trying to start.
Ryun, is there any procedure to get the vehicle in neutral so they can get it on the flatbed when the shifter doesn’t work? I think the driver gave my wife a separate key. Assuming that need to be inserted somewhere to manually get it in neutral.
