Google. Ford let Google in. Google doing the same thing to Ford it has done to everyone else that allowed it in.
Got a fitbit account? I do, for the past year or so I can not log into fitbit without first agreeing to terms with Google. I deleted the fit bit app.
Dealers that said EVs dont sell, they just sit on the lot, are not going to put more on their lots.
If they sell EVs it will be order only. Some dealers may refuse that.
Too many dealers had EVs ordered than refused, so the car set on the lot for over a year.
If no customer interest they are not...
No contracts were renegotiated. Contracts were in and accepted Oct. 2009. In 2010 the Missouri Manufacturing Jobs act was passed. The very next day, Ford said it would put in the Transit line.
That way the gov and Ford come out looking shiny.
The gov gave away no tax dollars, Ford took no tax...
Shrewd negotiation, oh heck yes. But political.
See how much it is going to cost to put in this transit line. You helped GM, how much tax payer help can we get? The above was the political answer.
I didn't say Ford drew bailout money. Ford did receive a bailout.
Ford had already taken bids on the new Transit line going in Claycomo plant. (KC)
Ford bailout was that all contractors, all employees, all persons working on the Transit line must take a %10 reduction in pay for duration.
Edit to...
Navigation is next.
Manufacturers will find out how much monthly folks will pay to keep navigation up to date.
As of now, ALL F 150s come with wifi hotspot and navigation. Even the XL with no extras.
Interest rates are not the only thing keeping people from buying.
It don't matter where they go Rick. I think you are looking at it different then he is.
If the head count at the Lightning plant goes from 2100 to 700 that is a reduction in head count at the Lightning plant.
I also noticed the article didn't say on or off.
Somebody said something or maybe traffic investigators want to know if a way to tell if it was on at time of crash.
Quote: thats nine grand in your pocket before the sale. Unquote: That is salesman talk. That is when I was done hearing his spill. Oh he explains where the figure comes from. It is not in anyones pocket. Only reason to phrase it that way, salesman talk.
Exactly, it is actually funny. Folks that will download nine apps to find the next charger are concerned one of those apps might be sharing or selling info.
I don't need fordpass to operate my truck.
Me neither. I am surrounded by people who state they will never buy or own an EV. Yet they don't give a damn who or how many drive one.
I have never seen or heard hate or bad mouthing for EV.
Congrats but I don't see the great deal. You are renting a truck for 24 months for just over eleven grand. Not bad. If you want to keep it you gotta buy a used truck for fifty grand. A gamble.
BTY my tax on it would be over $6,700.
