  1. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

I got 4 bars now with ACC and no button on the steering wheel. Original settings for 3 bars are figures at top left and top right. Settings after changing all gap 3 to gap 4 in easy view at bottom right and result after turning off truck and on again at mid left. I got a DTC code but cleared it...
  2. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

I found these in the IPMA module and think it may be the following distance (the "gap" between cars) setting for the ACC setting the steering wheel button controls/changes. The problem is I don't have the button so can't test it to see which values change with each setting. I can look to see...
  3. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

@bpcunning I also had 388 (and used 390) in BCM 726-16-01 xxxx x*** xx-- which just means we already had cruise control. The 384 means there is no cruise control based on data in Livinitup's spreadsheet. I do not have any problems.
  4. I need info on home charging

For those who drive a limited number of miles per day, the 24 amp charger would be sufficient. 24 amps x 240 volts = 5.7 kW. Over an hour of charging that would be 5.7 kWhs into the battery or about 13 miles of driving for each hour plugged in. You can typically get 12 hours of charging...
  5. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

Success! ACC works like a charm and lane keeping assist is tighter now. The only glitch was having to program APIM and IPMA values before copying IPMA 706-19-01 through 706-19-04 to CCM 764-01-01 through 764-01-04 because the CCM module did not show up prior to programming IPMA. The other thing...
  6. Lightning / EV calculator

I meant to be able to open on dash screen. But I can always open this on my phone.
  7. Lightning / EV calculator

I like that. My suggestions would be: limit the SOC <= 100 since that's the usable energy, and maybe add a range safety factor input into the calc (e.g., 40 mi to get to an alt charger). Then maybe importing to the console? somehow?
  8. DIY: Installing ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) and LKA (Lane Keep Alert) to 2022 F-150 Lightning XLT

I wonder if the adaptive cruise control following distance can be set in FORScan? without replacing the steering wheel button. I would think once set that choice would not change (i.e., I would likely never use the steering wheel button). Can anyone confirm? That must be a software setting...
  9. âś… 9/11/2023 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

Finally got a chance to take a pic of the new member of the household (well I guess a 2nd pic, I forgot I posted a pic 2 wks ago). Purchase was straight-forward and did not add admin charges as I was told by Ford. Price was straight off the window sticker. Stone grey metallic, SR, 9.6 kW Pro Power.

Thank you! I deleted vehicle, added back with VIN and then got directions about how to reset truck regarding FordPass app. Connected right up. That's 1 down and about 3000 more things I need to figure out. It will be a fun ride.
  11. âś… 9/11/2023 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

I think I have graduated this thread. Got the call today and picked up truck this afternoon. One problem though. Since I tried to activate FordPass early, because I wanted to see if I could locate the truck, when I open FordPass now I do not get any response from the truck. Dealer was not able...
  12. âś… 9/11/2023 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

Finally! with an email from Ford, not my dealer (yet). They, Ford or Dealer, added an additional $799 for processing. Sounds a little fishy since I've already gone over the sticker price with the dealer just after the 7/17 order confirmation. Hello RICHARD, It’s time to finalize your...
  13. Aluminum Cable from meter to 100amp charger?

This is exactly why I like reading these posts. The disconnect, code compliant (line of sight) comment pulled it all together. Run whatever wire you want to the disconnect (assuming disconnect connectors allow that wire type) and then feed the FCSP what it requires. Gotta love these guys!
  14. Hello from Wisconsin!

I was in Appleton years ago waiting on a GB game. There was some sort of annual festival and I could not believe the crowd. Shoulder to shoulder people filled the street at this festival as far as I could see down that street. Something I will never forget.

I'm a little in shock and hopeful at the same time. That took a while. I think the crew had to push this one through the assembly line...manually. And with a delivery estimate of 11/19-11/25, I think they will still be pushing all the way to Florida.
  16. âś… 9/11/2023 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023)

Still IP but my dealer shows me as "Produced". I emailed to ask that he remove the mobile charger and he said he couldn't because my F150L was produced but would call SunRun to inquire. I corrected him as to the charger in question and that someone could just walk over to the truck and remove...

  18. 50,000 miles - What a long, strange trip it's been.

This was a great thread to read through. Good community input on all sorts of subjects. Here's another. That 16 gallon tank that ICE vehicles have holds 16 gallons gas x 33.41 kWh/gallon = 534.5 kWh of energy. That's a big battery. Hold on ... an ICE vehicle is only about 33% efficient at most...
  19. Using 120v to 240v transformer and two generators?

The 120 to 240 transformer won't help because 30 A at 120 VAC on the transformer input will give you 15 A at 240 VAC at the transformer output. So same power. The parallel generators would work if they synchronized their output. I would check the manufacturer's website to see if this is...
