Funny, I was just recently on a good "run" of about a week without a reset. Like you, I'm right back to the constant reset, with no clear indication of why.
As for the dealer, maybe you'll have better luck than I did, but I wouldn't even advise it. I've had mine in twice for this and both...
I'm at 11,500mi and for the past month the squeal has gotten progressively worse. I was actually thinking this week that I need to have a look - My driveway has a 4 degree slope and I feel like I'm going to wake the neighborhood every morning when I'm backing out at 5:30am!
It could be the "Now Playing" info that's trying to display, but the fact that I'm seeing a mix of metric/imperial units on the same screen leads me to believe it was more of a general display bug.
I can't say I've noticed this myself, but I have run into a handful of times in which the dash cluster fell way behind the sync screen... like "three turns ago" behind.
I prefer carplay and rarely use sync for navigation, so I can't really say how relatively often it occurs - I've seen it...
I've also struck out in pinning down any specific trigger for this reset over the past 6 months. The only semi-useful observation is that if I change from 'normal' to ANY other drive mode, I'm guaranteed a myview/gauge reset on the next startup (regardless of which mode used, for how long, or...
I also went with a 20% on the front, which (to my eye) is a perfect match to the OEM shade on the rear windows. I used film tint installed by a local freelancer that I've used a bunch of times in the past; $100 and <30min and never any issues post-install.
I'm in the northeast, but I spend a...
Glad to see some happy outcomes here. I live within 2mi. of Chapman but trekked up to Phoenixville for my last two trucks because of troublesome experiences there (dating back to the C&C days). Looks like they've upped their customer service game, which is good to know!
Just another thought that popped into my head:
On your phone(s), try killing any and all running apps. On iOS 14+ Apple added a popout-video feature that acts as a picture-in-picture of sorts. I've heard of (but not experienced myself) issues in which this caused some "audio enabled" apps to...
I've had some carplay issues, but this is definitely the first I've heard of this. Not that finger-pointing is of any value here, but I do agree with @petemill in that the source issue is most likely on the Apple side of things.
Since I've not seen the issue myself I can't offer any specific...
They are all notifications that are generated every time a scheduled start occurs (I have two scheduled for every weekday). For a while, with my previous truck, I'd occasionally purge the notifications; I don't even bother anymore.
If there's a way to selectively disable...
I had the same experience in my '18. I activated it for a trip from PA to the outer Banks... my data limit was reached before we were out of Maryland.
I haven't given it another thought after canceling.
The general consensus is that the initial round of updates is nothing short of being completely random. From those that have received one or more, it seems that details of said updates and what was addressed is equally vague. ?
Thank you sir! I'm also an iOS user... at least now I'll know what to keep an eye out for!
I am still curious how it's determined which trucks get updates and which don't...
Not sure if this would suit your needs, but it works perfectly for me! This bag fits perfectly beneath the driver's side of the 60/40 bench, and could easily be taken out or moved to the bed to accommodate interior cargo (or some extra real estate for the pups).
Sadly, the price on the link...
For those that have received one or more ota updates, can you elaborate on how the procedure "looks"? I'm referring to what type of notification(s) appear, either within the FordPass app or the sync interface.
My XLT is a 12/20 build that I picked up in early February. To my knowledge, I've...
My TT is around 5k lbs, and until just a few weeks ago, I had always used a standard hitch. After speaking with people that are much more experienced at towing than I am, both on this forum and elsewhere, I was convinced it was worth the peace of mind considering its relatively small expense...
I'm starting to lose patience with this issue. When I got my truck the first week of February it would happen about once a week. Since then, it's become more and more frequent; at this point it's rare to EVER start the truck without having to address the initial "press OK to configure your my...
