There is the possibility of a very dangerous condition. If you were to touch a grounded part of the truck and a grounded part on the house (any electrical box or metal conduit), you would become a parallel neutral conductor with actual return current going through your body. This is why the...
I have a fairly detailed post about my Sigenergy battery system and using its generator input with the truck here:

Once I switch to the V2X model, I will do another...
I didn't say that pre-conditioning doesn't work. I stated that I don't think you would notice much difference. I will concede that my experience is mainly in hot weather, and not cold, and that I also have the max tow package and dual coolers.
That being said, I will nearly guarantee that with...
I have both the Ford HIS system as well as a Sigenergy battery system (since March of last year).
I don't have the Sigenergy V2X yet, but have done enough research and talked to enough people that I have one on order that should be here within a few weeks. There are lots of videos on the...
I have road tripped thousands of miles including many 15+ hour days, and I have never pre-conditioned the battery. I am not convinced you would ever notice a difference between pre-conditioned or not. My peak charge rates on Tesla was always above 175kW even doing sometimes 9-10 charge...
Do not get this system. Get your money back. I own the Ford system and it only works with a lightning. Instead go with something like Sigenergy V2X that does a better job and will work with lots of EV's now and in the future.
When you have 2 different neutral bonded locactions, it turns any ground conductor between them into a normal current carrying conductor (parallel paths). This is why the truck trips, because it senses the current on the ground wire, and/or doesn't see the full return current on the neutral...
Thats too bad, or I would have considered buying the one you have. It wouldn't need the onboard AC charger, but would still need enough of the system to plug in a CCS cable and do the CCS DC charging handshake for my V2X system to work with it.
It could also need some sort of coolant pump...
With the bad module removed, would it still be possible to operate? Possibly as a home storage unit? How hard would it be to have the charge port operational, so it could work with a V2X bidirectional charger? Same question for both ford or Tesla packs.
If it makes you feel better, my TCU barely works even in the United States. Most days it is out to lunch, and Fordpass will tell me my truck is on and driving about 50 miles from where it is parked. You are not really missing anything unless you really need remote start (out of bluetooth...
Keep in mind that the truck has no surge current. If you try to start some sort of motor load it is likely to trip. If you have some sort of pump on your emergency load panel then I would test it before the storm.
I won't speak on behalf of anyone, but I know there are several of these systems working with the Lightning. Due to the tax credit rush there has been delays in getting new ones out. I think a lot more people are going to get equipment later this month (including myself).
There are also...
