Since they are going to support the Lightning, Leaf, and now the Kia EV9, it needs to be generic equipment.
In the agreement, this is mentioned: (customer_participation_agreement.pdf)
As part of the Program benefits, Customers in the Commercial and School cohorts will receive a 5- year...
I am 99% sure the FCSP is not compatible. So for those of us that have it, they will remove it and replace it with a compatible charger.
This is what I think we'll be getting: ChargePilot® - Fleet Smart Charging Solutions
That's the controller that manages the flow and directs the charger...
$3000 per month at $5 per gallon (for easy math) is 600 gallons. At 15mpg, that's 9000 miles. With 30 days in a month, that comes to 300 miles a day. Which is exactly what was claimed... Though I suspect Francisco doesn't work 7 days a week. Slight variations in cost, efficiency, or daily...
Yeah.. Looks like the website is still there, but the calculations aren't happening. Looks like DOGE got to it, just like the electricity cost website I posted earlier: https://www.bls.gov/regions/midwest/data/averageenergyprices_selectedareas_table.htm
You'll have to do the math yourself. If...
Definitely not the exception. Most of the US is an average of $0.15/kWh. We're the exception. It's just unfortunate we never get mentioned, so people in our areas (New England, California, Hawaii) that buy an EV thinking it's going to be so much less in fuel than an ICE get a sudden cold shower...
That still really depends on where you live. I can charge for less at level 2 chargers away from home. (Home charging is $0.34/kWh, and public charging can be as low as $0.28, and many are $0.30)
Welcome to Massachusetts. (But same holds in many New England states, California and Hawaii)
We...
I would love to have a physical button for internal recirculation. When driving behind a diesel, or someone that's very overdue on their oil change, I want to close that off ASAP. Having to go to the menu, and then push it (while driving) isn't speedy or easy.
Does anyone know if those settings are user-profile based, or global?
(Is there a way to link the Fordpass app to a user profile?)
My wife and I both have separate car profiles (which works pretty good when linked to our phones. We've not used the physical keys after the first week, unless we...
OMG, that gives me nightmares. I rented a Hyundai Sonata last year and it had a stalk similar to that. It was the worst. I disliked that with a passion.
I absolutely love the buttons in my Honda Insight:
There's nothing stopping gear changes (Physical button to push like on the Lightning), or rotating and it maybe not working.
If you can't change, it just won't. Sometimes if I'm in a hurry to go, I can start the car, and just mash the D button...
It's $0.35 for me right now. Locked into $0.15/kWh supply rate with a higher renewable share through a town initiative (which was cheaper than Eversource at the time, but higher now)
I look forward to paying for charging the truck away from home, cause it's cheaper pretty much everywhere else...
Just signed up. I think one of the big limiting questions was when the truck was going to be plugged in. (Looks like they want it plugged in from 15:00-20:00 during peak AC usage, similar to the ConnectedSolutions program)
Ours doesn't get plugged in till 17:30. So we'll see how that goes...
OMG.... Just added the 22K points from our Nov 2024 purchase. They really should have automatically done that, or told us about this. Wish I had known about this before paying for the NACS adapter.
Thanks!
I'm assuming that is part of the block of pins for the shift module. You just have to tie in to the correct pin. Maybe take apart a Maverick to see how the wiring goes?
On my car (Honda Insight), in addition to the buttons for PRND, a pull lever for the park brake, I also have the break hold...
Great! I am waiting on Eversource to redo their EV Charger rebate site. I signed up two weeks ago to be ahead of my March 31st deadline for a 2024 install.
Eversource has also been swinging the smart meter carrot bait. We'll be getting it this year. Looking forward to that. I would love time of...
Can confirm we got the free FCSP and $2,000 discount for doing the installation ourselves. (Which cost us $1930.)
On a semi-related note, ordered the adapter on the 11th with an expected ship date of the 14th, and got a FedEx alert last night that a package from Dearborn will be delivered...
