When I haul dirt or debris I shove a piece of pipe insulation between the bed and tailgate. There is a hole in the bottom of the tailgate that seems to attract junk but will not easily come out.
I do not push my range, you may get a headwind that will affect it. Charge more than you need and a mentioned have options for charging. If you can beg borrow or steal a tesla adapter it will make your trip easier. Also download every charging alp you can to your phone (bring your passwords)...
Keep in mind there is a balance, even though the Hummer and Chevy can charge at 350 kw doesn't mean that the charger will. I recently went to a 350 kw charger that would only give 36 kw, try going to 80% on a 220 kwh battery with that. They also weigh 9000 lbs so their efficiency is worse.
The bent fence and parking on the curb allowed the tesla cable to reach. The charger is on the other side of the truck. Also not as close to the fence as it looks
We came back on Saturday on I 80 in CA. The same ea charger that was charging me at 160 kwh on the previuos Sunday would only put out 36 kwh I waited for an opening and moved to a different charger and got 116 kwh. Btw it was 114 degrees outside.
Made my first trailer trip last week. I got my lightning in October last year and this annual trip was my only concern. The trip is from the north bay in CA. To the foothills outside of Placerville CA. The trip is around 180 miles lots of hills going east, lots of downhill going west. My...
It really depends on your driving speed mostly. Ball park you are going to get around 250 miles from a full charge. So on your 400 mile day you will need to find another 150 miles. I would say about a half hour on a super charger. Then charge at home. I don't think that charging to a high level...
I have a lariat er. The max payload of 1730. My tongue wieght is around 600 lbs. With no equalizer it only drops the rear of the truck an inch. With people and gear I think I have around 400 lbs left. If you have max tow that takes away from your payload as it adds wieght to the truck. Tow...
I had that on the drivers side I reached up to the top rear corner and pushed the weather strip into the door gap and it stopped. Hasn't come back. I think the weather strip may be stretched a little in that area and needs to be fit a little better
Having been an automotive technician for 40 years, I do have knowledge and expectations. If the truck is incapable of making a sweeping turn and not stay in the center of the lane it needs work. I'll use it when it is better.
